Really flavoursome italian dishes, attractive looking restaurant, nice staff, busy atmosphere on Saturday night. Food was served swiftly and hot contradictory to previous reviews!

We booked a table for a group of us early in the evening. We had starter, main and drinks and we were not rushed and allowed to relax and enjoy the whole evening. The food was really good quality and the only downside was that one of the specials one of our party wanted was already sold out. Our only... More

Me and the fella went a few weeks ago on a Saturday. Having both recently becoming vegetarian we were impressed by the wide range of veggie dishes. We had 3 courses 2 bottles of wine and a cocktail each and the bill came to £105 which was fine. The food was lovely and nice decent size portions. The only reason... More

We visited on a Wednesday so the restaurant was very quite but there was a nice ambience. We had a gourmet card which entiltiled us to '2 for1' main courses. The service was pleasent and reseved. The food was similarly pleasent but wasn't anything that couldn't be attempted at home. The portions were also quite small. I wouldn't be in... More

We booked a table for 6 as part of a hen do - Prior to the booking, I dropped off some table decorations with the hope they'd be able to glam up the table. The manager's response was a rather nervous "we'll see what we can do" and I'll be honest I left thinking....blimey - I'll be lucky to have... More

I felt very rushed here. There was no time to relax. The chicken liver starter was cold and the beef fillet medallions which were wrapped in Parma ham was over cooked and extremely dry. It's a shame as it has the potential for being a nice place but really lacking in service, paying over £100 to feel pushed out the... More

I have visited this restaurant twice and will return again when near the Jewellery Quarter or near St Paul's Square. Friendly, attentive service, good value menu - free (home made) bread and olives. Excellent pizzas and imaginative salads. Classy decor with a Venetian theme, including authentic Murano glass lighting - highly recommended. I used my Gourmet Card with no problem... More

The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff are friendly and this sets the scene even before you order a drink. I have been here on a few occasion now and it is always a wonderful experience. The food is wonderful no matter what you order, I have so many favourites it hard to choose. I would highly recommend a... More

We have been to Cucina Rustica several times before and have never been disappointed. On this occasion we went to celebrate a friend's birthday and there were 24 of us. Cucina Rustica is the only restaurant in Birmingham that will take such a large number of people on a Friday night - a point to remember for anyone with a... More

First time to Cucina Rustica, after wandering around St Paul's Square and seeing what was available. Nice atmosphere and warm and stylish decor, very good food (bruscetta was a happy surprise the way they present here), good service, would return - particularly with a small group. There aren't too many decent Italian restaurants around Birmingham but this is one.
