This place is very nice. The decor is smart and comfortable. The service was fantastic, they were polite and knowledgable and really make this place special. All the food I ate was amazing and they even sold my favourite cider 'Dunkertons'. I can see why they are winning awards for this restaurant. Would love to try there sunday lunch which... More

We ate the five courses taster menu, and we were wowed each time. The staff were very attentive and gave us a lovely history lesson each time they served a dish. It was lovely to hear that the produce is sourced locally, including the flour from Sarehole Mill to make the delicious bread. We have eaten here on many occasions... More

This was our first visit to Carters. Having known Holly and Brad before knew we were in for a treat. We had a taster menu and wine for each course. Abbie was brilliant in her description of the wine, which was excellent. We had a brilliant evening which was enhanced by the staff and lovely food. We enjoyed it so... More

Went for a light lunch and enjoyed a veritable feast! Super food, cheerful and excellent service. I was especially pleased that the bread was made with flour from the neighbouring Sarehole Mill. Carters have really gone the extra mile to source food locally

My friend treated me to afternoon tea and it was delicious! Plenty of food. Plenty of tea. And the option of gin! Staff were very attentive. I also like how the menu lists their local suppliers, including Loaf in Stirchley. I'd definitely go again.

This is a neighbourhood restaurant for me and so I get to go there a few times a year. Visits in September 2014 confirm that this team are not only continuing to meet their standards but are getting better! A recent taster menu evening delivered, to me, better food that two of the city's Michelin starred restaurants. A recent lunch... More

Had the 3 course set lunch with wine - truly great value at only £25. Nice variety of dishes that were executed very well. Simple fresh flavours with subtle touches that highlighted the chefs style. Service was very very smooth and professional - not at all stuffy. Would certainly recommended and will be looking to visit again.

Boring hospital appointment, so decided to lighten the day by looking for somewhere to book lunch “nearby” Just by chance The Birmingham Post reviewed this restaurant on my day of inspiration. Bit off the beaten track behind a building site, so persevere. Absolutely fantastic. One of the best meals that I have ever had in my life & I have... More

Really enjoyed lunch here, been meaning to go for a while. Staff were lovely and I thought it was great that they told us where different ingredients had come from, all sourced locally. Food was delicious, very tasty, I will definitely return soon!

We went to Carters after reading some very good reviews about the place, we were not disappointed. From the welcome we received when we arrived, to the attentive, knowledgeable staff we met throughout the meal, our experience was good. We had the 5 course Tasting Menu which was superb. Although the restaurant is smallish you don't feel 'packed' in, in... More
