We ate at lunch time on a Saturday. This was my second visit to Carters (the previous one being a long time ago when I wasn't overly impressed). Based on this visit, I now understand why Carters is so highly rated. The quality of service, cooking and ambience was superb. I loved the use of local produce e.g. Sarehole Mill... More

A really pleasant meal with interesting flavour combinations. Ambitious cooking and artistic presentation. I have to say that the portions are on the dainty side - loved the food, and agree with another recent review that if anything, the pudding could do with being smaller! (A rather overpowering flavour of sticky toffee pudding after the other two courses) I managed... More

Wonderful food. Service excellent. Health warning. Check if there is a party seating. If so your evening will be ruined. It is not cheap. Check check and avoid party evenings.

Just had some if the best food I've ever tasted at Carter's in Moseley and at a really good price. The mackerel just exploded with taste, the combinations were delicious. I had cod with purée of cauliflower and sea vegetables. The puree took cauliflower to a completely different level and the sea vegetables were really interesting. The dessert of homemade... More

This was our first visit to Carters as part of my birthday celebration and we were really looked after, lovely vibe not stuffy at all. We all had the recommended wine alongside the tasting menu and enjoyed to food and drink immensely. The only let down was a particularly dry partridge but this did not spoil the evening. This is... We visited Carters of Moseley for the first time and had a really enjoyable meal. Most of us ordered the Sunday roast which resulted in being an excellent choice, it was served with plenty of side dishes and the whole meal was perfectly seasoned. The sticky toffee pudding was delightful and we left feeling very full - with hindsight I... More

Started with the pigeon starter which was awesome, pretty costly though, but worth it all the same! Infact the evenings meal was fabulous and money aside we were very happy. Service was genuine and consistent and other then cost the size of the restaurant would be my only other complaint.

We visited Carters for Sunday lunch as a small part of my husband's 50th birthday weekend celebrations. We were greeted by Holly - who is always really lovely and friendly and then we went on to enjoy a lovely, unhurried Sunday lunch. My husband and I tried the "liveners" first of all - my Meadowsweet Fizz was so nice I... More

Great food and great vibe. Had a lovely meal with my partner at this stylish but understated restaurant where the emphasis is on great food and quality service. We had the 5 courses taster menu which didn't disappoint. If you like unpretentious restaurants with knowledgeable staff and great food this is the place.
