Boring hospital appointment, so decided to lighten the day by looking for somewhere to book lunch “nearby” Just by chance The Birmingham Post reviewed this restaurant on my day of inspiration. Bit off the beaten track behind a building site, so persevere. Absolutely fantastic. One of the best meals that I have ever had in my life & I have... More

Really enjoyed lunch here, been meaning to go for a while. Staff were lovely and I thought it was great that they told us where different ingredients had come from, all sourced locally. Food was delicious, very tasty, I will definitely return soon!

We went to Carters after reading some very good reviews about the place, we were not disappointed. From the welcome we received when we arrived, to the attentive, knowledgeable staff we met throughout the meal, our experience was good. We had the 5 course Tasting Menu which was superb. Although the restaurant is smallish you don't feel 'packed' in, in... More

Had an excellent meal, excellent service and a really enjoyable lunch. Great to see waiting staff, know about and understand the ingredients and concept of the dishes. Food coming from the kitchen top notch. Briliant policy on under 8's, the beligerence & indifference some of the parents with small children show towards other diners is appalling at times. Good policy... More

I have wanted to go to Carters for a long time. I'd heard great things and seen the awards it has been winning recently. I was very excited to get the chance to go. First of all, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The setting is lovely too. I was expecting something amazing from the food and that's where... More

Attended for lunch booked via opentable. Only to find No children allowed under the age of 8?.. Very polite with a follow-up email from Holly. So annoyed to have wasted my time. PLEASE be overt in advertising if you wish to exclude customers as is your right.

Went to carters of Moseley last night was not disappointed from beginning to end the front of house staff were warm friendly and informative lovely sense of informality so good for the digestion! We had a tasting menu that didn't disappoint fresh clean flavours. Some wonderful bread. Served either with butter or dripping. A very clever dripping I might add!... More

I'm a little annoyed that our meal at Carter's was so wonderful. Now, every meal will pale into bland, mundane, tasteless insignificance. I won't bore with details of every course, expect to say that after a 5 course tasting menu (and the first course was 3 different snacks AND bread) we were equal parts stuffed and blown away. The service,... More

We went to Carters for lunchtime, it was fine however was expecting more in terms of nuance from a michelin recommended restaurant and best restaurant of the year. Maybe it was because it was a lunch menu and we didn't get the full range. Also as a vegetarian it didn't really have anything special in terms of flavours so maybe... More

My Wife and I booked dinner here for our tenth anniversary. We had an amazing meal, with wonderful wine. Service was excellent and attentive. The staff knowledge about both the food and wine was excellent. We both left feeling we had been somewhere special. Not cheap, especially with the wine menu but worth it for those special occasions.
