Me and my family had a gorgeous meal here. The food was delicious and plentiful. And to make the night even more special the staff sang happy birthday and gave me some complimentary cake and wine. The atmosphere was buzzing and it was a great night.

We were recommended by the Ramada Hotel to come here. The curry was excellent everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. The salmon tikka starter was delicious, and all our curries were yum. I ordered Balti Lamb Tikka Rogan Josh. The staff were very helpful and polite, would definitely recommend no need to go into Birmingham for a Indian meal when staying near... More

I can't fault this place at all. Friendly staff, plenty of choice, award winning chefs, spotless restaurant. The most wonderful lemon chili fried rice anywhere. Just a wonderful total experience. You have to try it!

A 5 star evening out. Silver service feel, great portions, and sooooo good. Its the curry tasta we have been longing for, very very well priced. Would tell anyone to try it.

i went with business associates attending a show at the nec (some brits, dutch and one american) & we all agreed it was disappointing, to say the least. the assorted starters we shared were ok but our main courses were all pretty awful. meats and fishes were all overcooked & dry. the tikka's were cloyingly sweet, it was as if... Used to be my local till I moved. Tried others but came back. It really is the most consistently good restaurant around.

Have been probably 20 times and with such a large menu it is fun to try something new. It just has not failed for me nor my friends. The food is good quality, the service efficient, you can order the strength of curry and that is what they deliver. It is all reasonably priced. Back again soon

We travel some 40 minutes from Leicestershire to visit the Shabar. We always ring up and book a table. It is always there waiting for us no matter how busy the restaurant is, We always receive a warm friendly welcome and are treated like a customer should be treated

We both perused the good menu, made our choices & put our menus down. Although not busy it took over 5 mins for anybody to notice. After ordering starters & main courses we were persuaded (didn't take much) to order popadum & accompaniments (which are fabulous). However our srarters came out before we'd finished our popadums and were almost thrown... More
