Amazing venue, service and food

Every time I have visited Andersons, my expectations have been superseded by the standards of service that I receive on the night. The front of house staff are extremely knowledgeable as to the cuts of steak available and offer sound advice with regards to wine and side orders. My experience here is beyond a doubt beyond anything you would receive... More

I want to eat here everyday from now onwards. The steak I had was amazing and cooked to perfection (shorthorn fillet). The white chocolate cheesecake was very good too. Not the cheapest place to eat but because of how much I enjoyed it I walked away thinking it was a great deal. The atmosphere and decor are also spot on.... More

Went to Anderson's on a business lunch last month, and I have to say it was well worth the bill - which is hard to say given I am a northerner! I think one of the greatest strengths of the setting is the fact that you cannot get mobile signal, which means you get to enjoy the food and the... More

So lately im going to restaurants putting on the weight yet unhappy with what I'm eating! But I come to Andersons, it's recommended so I think menu online is pricey but let's see. Arrive to a quirky venue, clean and amazing atmosphere. Staff smiling, friendly and help immediately. Myself and my partner were sat in a corner but it was... More

Book in advance for this restaurant as weekends fill up very quickly! We went on a Thursday evening and the restaurant was still full and had a great atmosphere! We decided to go all out for this meal and went for starters, but we wished we hadn't. The portion size for the starters was minuscule and they were very forgettable.... More

We first had drinks in the bar, and moved to a large table (14?) in the alcove, which was perfect for the six of us (but could also seat 8 comfortably) The food was excellent: warm olives and bread, perfectly cooked steak.(unusually, the main courses include the vegetables, so no hidden extras) and lovely deserts. There is a good range... More

Came here last year for my birthday and was promised the best steak ever. I was a little disappointed as I had had better steal elsewhere for less money. It was slightly too done for my liking. I did really enjoy the accompaniments and there was loads left over due to generous portions. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed and... More

I visited the restaurant on a Friday evening (21:30 reservation). I was a little concerned that the restaurant was not full on a Friday night. However, I need not have worried. My friends and I had no complaints about the service or food. My starter of fried Camembert was good and the ribeye was faultless. The warm chocolate brownie was... More

Our first visit, midweek as we had been unable to get a reservation the previous weekend. Cosy cellar setting. Food was all great, husband said the steak was the best he had ever eaten. Nice ambiance, pleasant staff. Not sure if there was a lift but there are about 12 steps down so would check if that could be an... More
