A fantastic 5 course dinner whilst cruising the canal for three hours

We were given this cruise as a present by my Wife's Nieces on our 50th anniversary last year and we went on it last Saturday evening. The staff were very attentive & efficient, as was the skipper. The food was first rate though all five courses. We experienced everything between herons and hen... read more

Made this booking through the Activity Superstore (xmas gift). What a wonderful experience. The barge was lovely, clean and spacious. The Skipper and staff were friendly and efficient. The 5 course meal was well cooked and presented and we left feeling full. If you wish to do something a bit different, definitely do this. The other diners were happy and... More

We booked this as a Father's Day treat and were really looking forward to it. The barge itself was impressive. However, the food really was disappointing and really let it down. I booked this lunch for 4 with Tesco Vouchers and was treated extremely well unlike some of their outlets. The food and service were excellent, the drinks at very reasonable prices, the staff efficient and helpfull. 3 hours round the canals of Birmingham was different but enjoyable and the whole thing was absolutely great. I would recommend this as a... More

Something different to try, and well worth it. The whole overall experience was very enjoyable, with excellently cooked food and very cheerful service. We went on the Saturday Evening Dinner Cruise, so saw the canal network both in daylight and in the dark - they switch on the exterior floodlights. Highly recommended - and we do like good food.
