Part fine dining room, part cocktail lounge, the space is a cream and lemon affair with starched linens and a cosmopolitan vibe. Perfect for cocktails and platter-sharing, Pushkar also has a sexy a la carte menu and chef Bishal Rasaily who has worked everywhere from the Taj Sheraton in Mumbai to the acclaimed Chutney Marys in London - has a flair for creating fresh, modern and healthy dishes. The bar serves everything from bespoke Bellinis to lassis, and favourite dishes include the Goan fish curry cooked with coriander seeds, chillies and coconut cream.

After 4 bad experiences at Pushkar, I decided to write my first Trip Advisor review. The food is tasty with good proportions of meat, albeit rich sauces. Their customer service however is appalling. Staff are inattentive and rude, more interested in taking your money. Do not order a takeaway - unless you want to wait more than an hour (though... More

Wow!! This is one of the best Indian Restaurants I have ever been to!! We were recommended by a friend, and I can totally see why!. We were quite late arriving, but didn't feel like we were being rushed at any point. Staff were superb! Friendly and welcoming, and were happy to help with anything. Food is amazing! We had... More

We visited her on Saturday night and I can say it was the best curry I have had. The menu is not huge however if you are just looking for a boring typical curry house then this is not that. The service was excellent as was the atmosphere. A really lovely place to dine. You can book in advance online... More

My fiancee took me here for the first time as a surprise visit, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. A lot of effort has been made in the dining experience and I applaud them for doing that. Some may feel its a bit over the top, but we loved the little touches and the thought that has gone into them. They... More

Were we told that the Indian food in Birmingham was amazing so we held off on eating Indian while we travelled around England until we got here. The food was very good. We ordered the appetiser sampler so we could try a range of different entrees and they were all delicious. The mains were also yummy and the cocktail I... More

Convenient location opposite Symphony Hall and went pre- concert, but unlike the staggeringly wonderful Emmylou Harris, restaurant put in an off-key performance. Hadn't booked which raised an eyebrow, despite a house obviously not sold-out. The act is to elevate curry to fine dining, and the pretension starts with the menus boxed in the place setting, like an unwanted wedding gift.... More
