Absolutely amazing

Always wanted to visit after following the winner of the Michel Roux scholarship and I was not disappointed, what an amazing experience, the food was beautiful. Can not wait till they open in Warwickshire to stay in the accommodation.

Overall I thought the whole experience was underwhelming. I went there with my wife last year. We had the tasting menu. The food was ok but not great. Certainly nowhere near the standard of other fine dining restaurants that we have been to in Birmingham (and we have been to virtually all of them) soke of the flavour combinations just... More

This was a birthday treat for my wife, and our first experience of "fine dining". We were met at the door by Claire Love, and you just felt like you were a welcome guest to her own house. The menu was straight forward and easy to understand, but it is worth using Claire's extensive knowledge of her wine list, and... More

We went with friends to Loves on a Saturday night. Top tip if you are driving, suggest you park on the NIA car park (Assuming there are no events on) as its just five minutes away by foot via King Edwards Drive and over the canal bridge) Anyway, arrived on time and were shown to our table, we all went... My partner & I have dinned at Loves Restaurant several times & have always enjoyed our experience. Last Saturday we dinned with friends and had the 8 course tasting menu. Both the food & wine was excellent. We look forward to going back again in the not too distant future.

Great food and great service. We added the flight of wines to our tasting menu. It's not a cheap night out but prices etc are all clearly presented in the website so there were no surprises and I'd say that it represented good value. If you enjoy good food and trying new flavours etc then this is for you.

Over 2 hours of interminable waiting for tiny portions of tasteless food. Two courses smelled of dog food. Good job we chose our own wines (which were good) otherwise our £200 bill would have been considerably more. Thank goodness the Michellin people know that a great restaurant is more about taste than napkin folding and arrogance. Awful!

We visited Loves as an anniversary gift for my girlfriend. First impressions are very good with Claire the owner being very welcoming and knowledgeable about both the food and drinks being offered. The restaurant décor is very nice, it's not a large space so it's quite a cosy atmosphere. Once seated it's a comfortable and relaxing place to be. The... More

This is a great little hideaway for a romantic meal at a nice restaurant - tucked away from the main city centre, by the canal, its a real hideaway gem. When you arrive, you get a very warm welcome from the owner - Claire, immediately you feel so relaxed in nice surroundings - the décor is top notch, and restaurant... More

We opted for a taster menu with matching wines. The owners were very friendly and knowledgable and the food was very nice. Some portions were a little smaller than a usual taster menu and it is slightly on the expensive side for what you get but overall a lovely experience.
