Description: Bohemia is a Modern British restaurant situated in Birmingham’s buzzing...
Bohemia is a Modern British restaurant situated in Birmingham’s buzzing Selly Oak area. This exciting addition to Birmingham's restaurant scene adds a continental feel to the area. Open almost all day, you can pop in for an afternoon lite bite with fair trade coffee or enjoy the more formal evening air at this smart and contemporary establishment. True to its name, Bohemia offers wonderfully relaxed and chilled vibe, and diners are made to feel instantly at ease. Head Chef Ross has created an exciting Modern British menu that changes monthly so you have a new array of choices upon every return visit. Diners love dishes like herb sausage, black pudding and duck egg terrine with plum tomato chutney; poached cod fillet with garlic, chilli and coriander butter; slow-cooked rib of beef with chorizo, dauphinoise potatoes; and Pimms and lemonade jelly with homemade strawberry clotted cream ice cream. Bohemia runs regular jazz nights, acoustic nights and comedy evenings.

Simply excellent

Bohemia is a joy to visit, with really good food and service all at a good price. The monthly changing menu means that is always interesting, the food is expertly cooked and front of house the atmosphere is always lovely and Andrew is a charming host. Thoroughly recommended.

Bohemia is good value for money. The portion sizes for the main courses are huge compared to many city centre establishments. I had two course and I'm too full the morning after to even contemplate breakfast! Everyone in my party of 7 who had fish or shellfish dishes rated them very highly. My scallops were perfectly cooked. My main of... More

Normally fine dining equals a stuffy restaurant either totally 'out of date' or 'over trendy with a pretentious twist', I am pleased to say that Bohemia is fine dining French style. In France you can go to any many independent restaurants that are often shabby chic whereby the food is to die for food. And that is how I would... More

This our 40ish visit to Bohemia. Chef Ross never fails to surprise us with his inventiveness. We're talking Gordon Ramseyesk food at unbelievable value. Pleasant bistro, great staff and owner Andrew is a joy. The rest of Birmingham's resturants will feel and taste as bland as cardboard once you have tasted the delights of this truely amazing Resturant.... And the... More

Hired out the whole restaurant for a friends birthday. Good menu put together for us which was both tasty and well worth the price. It's nice to find a restaurant that is good quality and it part of a chain. Would highly recommend.

Enjoyed two meals there and both were excellent. The attention to detail and the customer service are very high. Good value for money, and they even have a good range of beers.

We have been using Bohemia since they opened, we have never been disappointed. There monthly change of menu means that while the excellent service and welcome remains constant the menu choice is always changing. We go at least 8 times a year and I must say this is our favourite local restaurant.

First time we've been to Bohemia, went on recommendations from trip advisor. Not disappointed either. Food was lovely, service was friendly and relaxed. All made for a good night out.
