My partner and I went to Turners last Thursday evening and had the 9-course tasting menu. The restaurant is small and cosy, and nearly all the tables were filled, although it didn't at all feel as though we were squashed in or that tables were too close to one another. Two extremely friendly serving staff took care of us for... More

Unimposing frontage and inside is muted and calm. Uncluttered. All the staff were really good and friendly and knew their food. We had the 9 course lunch menu which was outstanding. Every course was delicious, beautifully presented and obviously a lot of effort and skill went into each dish. Having tried various Michelin restaurants I would definitely put it up... More

very delicious food -what a skilled chef ,but decor and ambience is a little dated .Would be nice to see some cheaper menu options on. Still One of the best restaurants to eat in Birmingham

A wedding anniversary celebration deserves a Michelin star and so my wife and I took the 30 minute drive to Harborne and found Richard Turner's restaurant perched between Greggs and Boots in the High Street. Very unassuming from the outside, there are only about 20 covers so you get that exclusivity feeling as soon as you enter and the excellent... More

From the outside this looks like a simple shop front, but inside some amazing food is served, but at an eye watering cost No draught beer, just expensive bottled ones We didn't have wine, but I suspect these would've required a Kings ransom Food is excellent, but just too much money

Thank you for your brief feedback - We do appreciate your positive feedback on your dining experience. We would like to point out that our newly introduced local bottled beer range is priced on a par with local pubs & restaurant prices - we also hand pour them at your table. Due to restrictions of the building it is not... More

Expectations are high when visiting a restaurant with a Michelin star for the first time. We were not disappointed. We tried the nine course taster menu. It was obvious that many dishes were using ingredients that were in season, with tomatoes and berries playing big roles. Scallops and pork were both cooked perfectly. Taste and flavour were intense with many... More

Came here as part of a birthday gift for lunch. Decided on the 3 course lunch menu. Quality of the food was outstanding, served by very knowledgeable and helpful staff.Although the standard lunch menu was limited in choice this was more than made up for by the standard of the food. We were impressed to see Richard serving both front... More

We went to Turners for the 9-course tasting menu using an Amazon Local voucher and had our best fine dining experience in Birmingham to date. I have previously been to Purnell’s, Simpsons and Carters but the food and especially service were best at Turners. Food: Without spoiling the surprise, all of the food was delicious but two dishes in particular,... More

As others have commented the restaurant itself is in a rather unprepossessing run of shops. We weren't certain we had found the front door as there seemed to be a cheese table set up directly in front of it! Inside the setting is nice with very clever use of space and furniture. There are only a handful of tables and... More
