Randomly picked this place whilst waiting for a train and was very pleasantly surprised. Had a mixed seafood dish and stir fried squid. Both were excellent - tasted really fresh and were not overly greasy like Chinese food in the UK often can be. Most of the other patrons were oriental, which always bodes well.

This wasn't where we were planning but as we were going to the Electric Cinema we thought we would try it. My partner is from China, although not Northern Chinese as this place is, the recognition of authenticity was good. Also it was full of Chinese so a good omen. To start e were a little confused as the young... More

unless you know what your doing and have the patience don't do the hotpot. You basically cook your own at the table. Went in in and costume RS were completely Chinese, a good sign. Then realised that it's because this Chinese caters more for there own than the western palate. I had a safe bet, I thought, sechean chicken but... More

Really enjoyed the food at this authentic Chinese restaurant, making a real change from all the same rather dull Westernised fare. The food was exceeding tasty and still something Westerners could appreciate (we were the only non-oriental people!). Very good value for money. The menu shows pictures and the descriptions are written in both Chinese and English - go on,... More

I visited Han Dynasty because it was practically next-door to the Electric Cinema. Part of me wanted to avoid it because it was clearly a Chinese restaurant with an emphasis on food as the Chinese like it; I wasn't going to find chicken chow mein on this menu. But, one can't be ignorant forever and so I had a go.... More

Went twice. Hotpot was horrible however the dishes they make are worth the value, quality is amazing but overall service is difficult for non-mando speakers

Popped in before going into electric cinema. I'm a vegetarian and my boyfriend is a meat eater. The staff are really, really nice and friendly. The food was tasty and portions are massive. The food was very fresh. I had a set meal of egg plant and potato sautéed. My boyfriend had sizzling steak. Huge bowl of rice to go... More

Han Dynasty was well-known among both local and international students for its delicious hot pots and grills. Compared to other restaurants serving hotpots and grills (Dragon BBQ, Legends) the menu here is more diversified and the meat is much better marinaded. However, they have recently changed the recipes for all the soups in the hotpot and I have to say... More

I love Chinese food, but often they are quite samey, unlike Han. It was a good sign seeing the restaurant full, but not ‘Westerners’ is you get my meaning, so I knew the Chinese food was going to be good and it was – I’ll go back again!

We ordered 6 dishes and 6 of us paid 11 pounds each. Basically I would say all Chinese food Served here are nice. Would recommend the fried yum dessert if yum is your thing. Is a good dining place with good atmosphere and worth a visit. However heard that the buffet doesn't worth the price because limited choices provided. Is... More
