Fine dining experience and food to match

Excellent service, very formal restaurant with sliver service. Small, very quiet restaurant. Wonderfully presented food and flavours but small portions. Reasonable value for money considered it is Michelin star.

Surrounded by the unfortunate party going low life that infests British city centres Edmunds offers an incongruous oasis of calm and fine dining. Every course is cooked to perfection and presented as a work of art. The service is efficient and unobtrusive and it is worth hanging around at the end of the evening to meet the chef while he... We went here the other night after not going for a while, no reason that we had not been, we have been trying elsewhere. The food as normal was first rate along with the service. Our only criticism was the heating, the restaurant was on the cool side and could have done with being a tad warmer as at times... More

Impressive cooking in a stylish setting. Service impeccable without being stuffy. Initially I did not mention I am gluten intolerant as I normally just pick around anything I cannot eat. But I was stuck at dessert course as the sweet had flour in (I had to ask) and I chose cheese board without bread or crackers and was given celery... More

We dined here on a Saturday evening. It was a family occasion and very special. We was greeted and shown to our table and from then on it was a relaxing and enjoyable evening. The staff were all very friendly and full of advice. We were all delighted with our meals. I enjoyed the asparagus starter, followed by the beef... More

Went for lunch with my brother and treated ourselves to the tasting menu. Food heaven from start to finish! The highlights were many but the lamb main is the best lamb I have ever tasted. It melted in the mouth and was accompanied by asparagus and the most beautiful tasting duck's liver, wow!. The service is not just good but... More

Well it was a late lunch really as we did not want to rush before the concert. A very intimate place to eat with delightful soft décor and very attentive staff boded well for the main event. The food and presentation was fantastic (we eat with our eyes!) and all so well presented by the staff. Advice on choosing the... More

We've wanted to try Edmunds for a while and didn't ever seem to get a reservation, so we were delighted to get in last Saturday night. As we entered the restaurant we felt welcomed it is low key and comfortable. We did not expect the place to be so small and not all the tables were used which was surprising.... More
