You could either go with the buffet option or the teriyaki (set menu) In my opinion, buffet is reasonable priced for decent sushi. Teriyaki perhaps for slightly more special occasion or company meal. Went here with a huge party of about 20+ people for a birthday. Food was not great - very bog standard and overpriced. Question of hygiene standards here just from the point of view of the grills looking dirty, food being exposed and not covered etc. Mixing of raw ingredients etc. It's entertaining and the chefs try to accommodate food... We recently went as a party of 4 with a Groupon Voucher and whilst we had experienced Teppanyaki before, the others hadn't. The service was good and efficient, salad and starter served with our drinks and the the Chef came in. The Teppanyaki was great, Chef used humour and showed off some cooking skills and also getting the Bday Boy... More

My friends and I have visited Shogun for many years, making use of its "all you can eat" sushi buffet. In our most recent visit, I found the selection of dishes on offer has much improved, and the quality is great as always. A tasty lunchtime treat! Go early, it does get very busy.

We visited a couple of times this restaurant because the location is convenient for us. However every time the service get slower and the variety poorer. Always the same dishes on the carousel, sushi dishes are the minority, not always fresh and sometimes leftovers are combined. Once the waiter told me off for eating only the salmon and not the... Been a few times just for special occasions & the chef always puts on a great show! Food is lovely and plenty to fill anyone. Beer is £5 a pint and they automatically add 10% onto your bill as a service charge! Isn't that a bit like paying the ticket price for a suit at Selfridges, taking it to the... More

Went to Shogun for a friends birthday. We have both travelled in Japan and love Japanese food, and we were quite excited about it. Unfortunately it did not take long before we were disappointed. Restaurant was almost empty, yet we were placed around a teppanyaki table with another group, even though we specified we were only interested in the a... More

A friendly atmosphere and the food is stunning! Everything is freshly sourced every day and lovingly prepared to give the very best of freshness, beautiful presentation and the touch of theatre that make the whole experience so special. A truly great restaurant suitable for just about any occasion.
