Entertaining but food itself is average

A chance find. Located in the Cube and next door to the Indigo Hotel entrance. Well-oiled performance. Five Teppanyaki tables. Crowded with more waiting to come in as we left. Plenty of theatre as chefs cook on large hot plate tables. The set dinner at £31 good value for money. Friendly service. I see some adverse reports on Tripadvisor and... More

First visit to Resturant. Set menu. £67 for two. Good value. Fresh scollops, tuna, steak, chicken and egg fried rice, noodles all cooked in front of us. Wonderful show man ship by Japense chef. Beautifully cooked! Highly recommend. Booked for Mother's Day!!! Enjoy.

This was a birthday treat and it didnt disappoint. The food is cooked in front of you and the Chef was lovely, As it was cold we asked for a cup of tea when we got there before the meal.We were well looked after and the staff were very friendly I loved the food and eating with chopsticks was a first... I visited shogun with a friend for the Sunday all you can eat sushi. I can't put my finger on it exactly the food wasn't the best it was a bit boring and all the sushi tasted the same. The coke was flat and didn't taste like a drink more like water. I use to enjoy visiting woktastic at paradise... More

Tepanyaki is more about the experience than the food, although the food is rather good too! It's the first time we've been since the restaurant moved from the Mailbox to the Cube, and it was the first time the children have had Tepanyaki, so much fun was had. This evening the food was good but not the best I've had... More

£12.95 for an unlimited buffet is great, combine that with superb tasting sushi and you've got a winner. Disappointed by the automatic 10% service charge, especially as you serve yourself.

I had a bit of a 'meh' attitude to sushi for years - it's ok as pre-packed supermarket stuff, but hugely expensive from restaurants. I have always been intrigued by the conveyors of sushi where you just pick off whatever you like. And that's what you get at the Shogun - but even more than that: it is literally all... More
