Thought it would be a pleasant change from other restaurants, particularly since my wife is Japanese. What a disappointment!! The food very mediocre (not in quantity but quality), the staff and manager (so he said) were so full of themselves it was cringingly embarrassing at times. The so called showmanship of the chef was worthy of a cheap clip joint... More

We visited this restaurant while away on business in Birmingham. The restaurant was lovely great decor and staff were very friendly We chose the delux tepanyaki set meal which was pricey at £39 each but it's a great way to try a bit of everything. The chef was very entertaining we love Japanese restaraunts as its nice to have a... More

Whenever I've come to this place for lunch , the restaurant has nearly always been empty, which probably explains why there is not much variety on the sushi belt! On this occasion I came with my mother and my sister. I think there were only about 6 varietys of sushi going round on the belt, with ingredients that I could make... More

Visited many years ago when they were within the mailbox, but first time I've visited the cube I took my wife as thought it would be entertaining along with good food but we didn't get any of this on this occasion. We did see another table that had a more entertaining chef then we did, but still didn't look as... More

What lovely friendly staff they have, particularly our waitress Billy. We selected two Bento dishes, one chicken and the other prawn with portions of a number of taste experiences enjoyed with a large glass of wine each. An early evening pleasant interlude.

Went on Saturday night with my wife. The live cooking was fun and the chef showed off his knife skills, and how he could shoot egg shells into the hole at the end of the grill. But for all the great entertainment the food was a complete let down. The fried rice was unseasoned and very average. My tuna was... More

The Tepanyaki was extraordinary and most entertaining. I will be taking my kids here. The food was fresh and delicious and the whole experience of having it cooked in front of you with a juggling chef turned comedian is well worth a visit.

We went here as part of a Groupon deal to experience teppenyaki. It was a great experience and one I would defiantly try again. The chef was showing his cooking skills right in front of you whilst entertaining us. The food was good and really tasty. The beer was a little pricey but I suppose its not about the beer... More

I have been a regular to this place for sometime now. All you can eat for £12.95 on the sushi belt area is a bargain. The place is always sparkling clean and welcoming. I have no hesitations recommending this place at all.

I have been coming to Shogun Sushi now for years. Having spent a few years in California and developing and obsession for Sushi buffet, it was a shock to the system returning to the UK and finding that I needed to take out a second mortgage in order to enjoy copious amounts of excellent sushi. Luckily a friend of mine... More
