Good Sunday feed

Was starving on a Sunday, unfamiliar with the area, and cold and wet. Found the Big wok by chance and was happy I did, you can't expect too much from a buffet joint in terms of quality but for the price I found it good value for money and perfectly acceptable. The dishes I had were tasty and hot, I... read more

My Wife and I have been going to the Big Wok for several years but the last two occasions have not been as enjoyable as in the past. The mongolian Lamb was fatty and not as crisp as it should have beenand was served with cold pancakes, the crispy duck was so overcooked that it was tasteless and like eating... More

Food was a good selection of Chinese and Japanese foods. Would defiantly say there is something for everyone's tastes, whether that be sweet or savoury. Would go again but that's not saying there is not better in the area, just I haven't been there yet just here lol

Really good value. The service was good. The starters did let it down a bit really, they were all cold despite us being there at 12 when it opened. The mains were much better with a great selection. Really liked the veg dishes. Nice choice of desserts too. Not the place for fine dining but if in a rush and... More

We go here nearly every time we go to Birmingham - we've been going for over 7 years now! There's nearly always a queue, even before opening time. The food is high quality, freshly cooked and not left around drying out for hours - this is mainly because it disappears almost as quickly as it appears! I went here with... More

First impressions are not very good, but once you get past this the food is fantastic and fresh. When we arrived the restaurant was packed which is always a good sign. Service was quick the buffet was well topped up. The price is very good.

always go to the big wok when I visit Birmingham, we arrange to meet with friends and family, and always book a table save waiting outside for a table, its a good atmosphere, and if you have a celebration like a birthday they will ring a bell on the speaker and say happy birthday, plenty to choose from, and reasonable price.

Chinese all you can eat buffet restaurant with absolutely zero atmosphere. It reminds me of a school canteen with its strip lighting and cheap tables and chairs. Plusmthe tables are in rows and very close together. Food is hot, fresh and plentiful, I usually stick to the same few things so as not to overwhelm my digestive system. Certainly not... More
