Ate here whilst away on business. The place has a really chilled out atmosphere with fast and friendly service. I had two tapas dishes and a pinxos (kebab) all three of which were really tasty. My one gripe would be that for the price of the pinxos I've had slightly bigger and tastier locally, but that's a minor issue in... More

We haven't been to a Tapas Restaurant for sometime and decided to go to Catalan for a celebration. What an excellent experience! You only have to look at the website to know that here is a restauranteur who knows the importance of quality. When we arrived, we were not disappointed. Questions about the wine list and menu were answered with... More

Another fabulous meal. We went for tapas again, simply so we could sample the maximum number of gorgeous dishes that this restaurant provides. The paella is very tempting though. The waitress warned that we'd probably ordered too many dishes between the two of us, but we mopped up the lot - it was too delicious to leave! The atmosphere in... More

My partner and I went here to celebrate our anniversary. We could not fault the place. The restaurant is really nice and spacious. The staff were welcoming and very attentive. We arrived and was given complimentary bread and olive oil with balsamic vinegar and a bottle of water for the table. There is a good variety of tapas dishes that... More

Visited with my husband & parents. We're all Tapas novices and the staff could not have been more helpful. Food was prompt and delicious. Only let down was the premixed cocktails. Definitely go again if we're travelling around this part of the country again.

We did not have a main meal but opted for a mixture of Tapas and food too share , the service was good... More

Went with a colleague. We were very happy with our meal. The only negative was the poor quality bread served with the olive oil, and used for the garlic bread. This is why I scored it at 4 instead of 5. Portion sizes good. (Biggest than la tasca restaurants I have been to).

The Catalan is an enjoyable eating experience, value for money both in the food and wine, the house red was very good. The Saturday night visit with our two friends was enjoyed because of the atmosphere, the ambience and service. Whilst the tapas is good if you are looking for extra special it didn't quite meet that mark but overall... More

It's tricky to find good , authentic Tapas in England - even in London - but this place comes close. The atmosphere on entering is warm and welcoming and the staff greeted us with lovely warm smiles. After having had our drinks at the bar, we were shown to our reserved table for three in the "outside" area - which... More
