Good pub vibes

Lovey little pub, last minute booking meant we were sat under the telly. Made us feel either important or as though we were doing something wrong as everyone was looking in our direction. Good food, and a service with a smile. It's lovely to go to a pub where you aren't rushed, and can genuinely... read more

Lovely canal side pub. Good selection of cask ales from smaller local breweries; limited mainstream keg options. Lots of seating outside - including some covered, which most welcome on a ghastly day for weather. Big screen for those interested in sports; but plenty of nooks and crannies for those wishing to avoid. Didn't eat, but the menu looked good.

Five of us visited on a Monday night for food and enjoyed a well organised pub quiz as a bonus. The food took a while to get to us but the meals were very good and the service friendly. Good fun night out, service friendly but slow but it was a busy night.

This is a traditional pub on a canal, with a lock right outside. It is around 40 mins walk from the centre of Warwick or a short drive. The pub had a good range of beers and our meals were tasty and good value. Highly recommend.

We saw the reviews and as the pub was within walking distance from where we were staying booked a table. We all enjoyed our meals, starters, mains and puddings, especially the dessert with biscuits, coffee and liqueur poured over, then a cocktail. Lots of cocktails being professionally prepared - delicious. Staff friendly and helpful, a good night out, they seem... More

Lovely food, nice warm surroundings on a very cold day. Pleasant staff who went out of their way to help - could not fault.

This is one of my favourite traditions when in Leamington Spa - making the trip to the Cape for a good pub feed. The team are lovely, accommodating half portions for those who aren't too hungry and they have a good selection on tap. Come for the canal and barges, stay for the roast pork.

We found this place on Trip Advisor as we needed a meeting point from yorkshire to Oxfordshire for the exchange of christmas gifts. It was roughly halfway. We arrived to a bustling place with lots of reserved tables.....eeek we hadn't booked!! We were in no rush for food so we squeezed in and let the rush get out of the... More

The cape is a local pub to me. So I decided mid week to take the better half out for a meal, after tasting the culinary delights the Saturday just gone. Again we were not let down. I decided to go with the venison hot pot. Such a generous helping with fantastic flavours. The staff are always warm and welcoming... More
