Nice cozy pub next to the kanal, very tasty, homemade food and staff is friendly and helpful and always smiling. Me and my husband we both were really pleased with our meal- starters and mains and will visit again. Also they have a little menu for kids, which our son enjoyed too.

We ate lunch here one afternoon and enjoyed it so much we brought my parents for dinner a week later. The pub is canalside, so is very relaxing sitting outside watching the boats go by. Needless to say the place is popular with boating holidaymakers. My burger I had for lunch was lovely but the steak pie I ordered for... More

Have visited the 'Cape' twice recently and enjoyed the food. Service was friendly and efficient My only gripe is the price of a glass of wine. £5.40 for a medium glass of chardonnay ! Idread to think what a large one costs. Apart from that this canalside pub is worth a visit.

Thanks for your review. We are glad you enjoyed our friendly service. We are sorry you were disappointed with our Chardonnay price. It was one of our premium products that you chose. We do have many other less expensive wines which range from £4.10 for a 175ml glass & our wine list is clearly displayed around the bar. We will... More

Lovely canal side pub with good choice of beer and food. Very friendly, and good portions. I enjoyed slow cooked pork belly and the bbq ribs looked impressive. Very popular so worth booking a table.

We were looking for a nice pub to enjoy a family meal and this pub far exceeded our expectations. The food was fantastic, simple, fresh and above all really tasty. By not having a huge menu this pub was able to deliver plate after plate of great food. Im vegetarian and whilst i can usually get a basic meal at... More

This has become my local whilst working in the area this summer. What a god send! It overlooks the canal and has a great vibe. The staff are attentive and welcoming. The food is a little pricey but really worth it. The steak burger is phenomenal! They do have special nights where you can get good deals (check website) If... More

I hate to be critical of what, for as long as I can remember, has been a super canalside pub but I have just been stung for £9, yes, nine pounds, for a pint of average strength (4.0%) bitter and a small Chardonnay. I'm sure they do have prices displayed but they aren't conspicuous so I suggest you check the... More

We are very disappointed that you felt you needed to leave this review as we explained to you at the time that you chose to order our most premium ale Butty Bach & a 175ml glass of our premium unoaked Chardonnay. The products you chose did add upto £9 however our wine list is displayed all around the bar. You... More
