Me and my wife recently visited and stayed at The Lazy Cow We were informed by friends about how amazing the food and service was after .they recently visited a few months ago. Seeing as we were visiting the area we decided to stay for the night for a weekend night getaway, on arrival the pub has an amazing decor... More

The Lazy Cow used to be a favourite with my partner and I. We have visited a number of times in the last 12 months as he enjoys the wonderful steaks and I all of the seafood on offer. Each time we have had a wonderful meal. Unfortunately, the last time we visited as a large group in August, having... More

Really don't know why this place seems to come recommended... worst steak I've had in the £10-20 category by a long way. I did like the sides that came with it, in particular the whole garlic clove was an interesting addition and did add some flavour. The steak was even well cooked (spot on rare), it was just poor quality!... More

We visited whilst on holiday in Stratford. It was a glorious day and we were looking for somewhere for lunch with outdoor sitting. There was plenty of space to sit outdoors but we wanted somewhere with a shade as we also had our 7 month old. We found a table but were immediately told - "you no sit there" in... More

A bit disappointed that they didn't have many of the steaks on the menu. It was almost as though they were steering our party of seven towards the 'specials' which included a 35oz fore rib to share between 2 or 3. Needless to say my customer (who we were dining with) and I elected to share one of these. The... More

Went there with a few work colleagues. Service was quick although the restaurant was fairly full. We all had steak which was cooked to perfection - no complaints from anyone. Steak were all good - nothing fantastic, had better, but cant complain. The roasted garlic you get with your steak was great. Meal was a bit pricey though for what... More

We've been visiting the Lazy Cow now since it opened, always showing willingness to give it another chance because it's excellent if you just want a drink in the wonderful atmosphere, but we have been constantly disappointed, as have other reviewers, by the poor service, their inadequate communication between the kitchen and front of house, and the general attitude of... Chateaubriand was stunning, service great, get what you pay for......although dessert was a little disappointing, we had the retro sundae. Will certainly return.
