Can only agree whole heartedly with every comment made by Bcggtfh. We had to wait 15 minutes before anyone would "agree" to take a drinks order and when we tried to place a food order with the same person were told that it was not her job. Eventually after a number of attempts a young gentleman came over to explain... More

We had a lovely night at the Granville, we choose from the set menu. The quality was excellent and the staff could not have been more helpful.

This is the second time out of four where we have been frustrated with service. Young staff very polite but not really doing anything, had to ask for menu, had to ask to order mains, had to ask to order puddings, had to ask for bill, had to ask for further drinks, had to clear some of table plates. When... More

This pub is close to the M40 and good for a lunch break. The bar area is smallish and generally quite full. As the tables are quite close together you may have to sacrifice privacy to eat here. Fortunately there is also a restaurant area which is slightly separate from the pub and seems to be used as an overflow... More

A fine example of a traditional pub with a makeover that did not detract from the original. The food was good and well presented although the "Italian Breads" from the starter menu tasted as though it had come from the local supermarket. The steak was first class. Service was pleasant and willing if a little slow.

We had eaten here some time ago and has been seated in a nice restaurant area and had a very good meal. However, this time only the bar area was being used. It was a Friday night and our table was booked for 8.00pm. There was an overwhelming noise of a baby crying at an adjacent table and children running... More

Visited for lunch today. Arrived at 12 o clock and there were only 2 other people in the pub. Tall, Dark haired woman at the bar immediately seemed to take a dislike to us, I am assuming as we had a sleeping baby and 2 toddlers between the 2 families. Strangely as the website seems to promote their child friendliness,... More

My wife and I eat out at this establishment often. The Granville has a very welcoming atmosphere and the staff are always very pleasant and accommodating. They also run a loyalty card which is stamped each time you have a light lunch and after five visits you get a free lunch and drink. We have also dined in the restaurant... More

Thank you for taking the time to feedback - it is much appreciated. All I can do is apologise - I can only describe this as a definite blip in service, as it is not our usual standard and we have literally hundreds of very positive comments on our customer feedback forms, that never reach Trip Advisor. The bread ordered... More
