Description: A 1940s themed Tea Room in Stratford-Upon-Avon. Come and join us in the 1940s and experience gorgeous loose leaf teas or a lovely cup of coffee accompanied by sandwiches on locally baked bread or try a cake or scone made daily on the premises by one of our bakers. No packet mixes or frozen products here. We also offer a gluten free cake each day and will do our best to help any other allergies too. The Fourteas is an experience not to be missed. The Fourteas has won the 2012 TouchFM Pride of Stratford Awards Town Outlet of the Year and has been selected by Jamie Oliver for his best 1000 Places To Eat In Britain app. We have recently moved to larger premises, but we are still only operating from one shop with no plans to expand to a chain yet!

Popped into The Fourteas during the week to avoid a particularly heavy shower of rain and were met with a pleasant surprise. The tea is loose leaf and comes with a sandtimer so you know it is ready to pour. I tried their own 'Fourteas blend' of tea which was a nice change and went really well with the fruit... More

Very nostalgic place although I did get the feeling that the place could do with a bit of an industrial clean! Not exactly dirty just bits and bobs on the crockery... not so sparkly if you know what I mean... however the tea, cakes and sandwiches were very nice. Bit pricey too!

Happened upon this place while wandering around Stratford and it was a really wonderful find. Delightful staff dressed in 40s style served us with a smile. Menu is in the ration book cover. Old fashioned cups and saucers and the whole place decorated in war time memorabilia. Add to this the lovely home made food at reasonable prices and you... More

For a real treat, you cannot find a better traditional afternoon tea. Delicate cakes, warm scones and cream and a choice of your favourite sandwiches. The service is friendly and helpful and i never feel rushed here. On a rainy day, it is a great escape to come inside and enjoy the great atmosphere. If i could only eat at... More

Really nice Scone - but the hot chocolate was a complete disappointment. Could have done with a bit more clotted cream :)

I saw this place on tripadvisor when I was planning my trip to Stratford-upon-Avon and I’m glad I did! It was something a little bit different in terms of set up. We loved the fourties theme and their attention to detail was amazing (ration books for menus etc) I had a bacon sandwich and my partner had poached egg on... More

We found this tearoom by accident and what a happy accident it was! The forties style was brilliant, music, crockery and clothing to dress up in! A selection of fine teas are available, served in pots with a timer for the brew. We had the cream tea and the fruit scones, like the tea were excellent. Cream tea £5.

Two years ago the tea rooms moved to Sheep Street not far from the river – normally my Partner and I frequent Ann Hathaway’s Tea Room on the High Street – for a change just this once we thought we would investigate the 1940 Tea Rooms. All who enter the tea rooms stand and wait to be seated, eventually one... More

Surprised that you better have a reservation for a tea. We didn't and got a table on the first stock.

Went for afternoon tea and it was like stepping back in time. Staff all in 40's dress and with the setting and music you could be back in 1940.they have added a sitting room/ parlour very original as well as an Anderson shelter where you can take your afternoon tea. Highly recommend a visit.
