I made a reservation here for my Mum and I purely based on the online reviews it has. I didn't know where it was or what to expect but we were amazed! The atmosphere, the service and the quality of the food was outstanding. It was decorated to such a high quality and the ambience was fantastic. The staff were... More

I am delighted that you had a lovely time with us and look forward to seeing you again. The disabled access is an insurmountable problem for us as it is an Elizabethan building and on a slight hill. The only way into the property either by the back or front door is via the steps, which in consultation with an... More

A great atmosphere and good food with friendly staff. We had some excellent herby potato soup with half a sandwich, accompanied by pots of tea. Qood quality and highly recommended

Really liked it, tea/cakes were excellent, service good and the whole place kitted out to fit the 40s theme (including the staff).

Went for afternoon tea. Interesting 1940s theme and a unique way (to me anyway) of brewing the tea. The cake was good quality moist and light and the tea when you followed the instructions tasted really good. Service was also good and friendly. Worth a visit

Walked past looking for a tea room (plenty to pick from in Stratford) looked the look of and style of The Fourteas. Went in staff where pleasant, prompt and the tea and scones where scrumptious.

Very nice change and a good idea. The staff were very friendly and served an excellent pot of tea. However even in the 1940's they knew how to toast a tea cake correctly and even if the bread then was not great, today we have the ability to buy good fresh bread so there is no excuse to serve bad... I am sorry that you were not satisfied with you r visit, it is a shame that you did not talk to us at the time. All of our bread comes from the local baker and is delivered fresh each day, as for our teacakes we put them on the toaster and cook to what we consider the correct colour,... More

We called in for a well deserved cup of tea after shopping. What a lovely idea to have the waitresses dressed in forties dress and the whole ethos of the place is wartime even the menus are in ration books. Proper leaf tea too which came with instructions on how long to let it "steep". We shared a plate of... More

Friendly service...amazing decor... look upstairs - a 1940's sitting room ...and in the garden- an Anderson shelter and seating! Super food. Lovely home baking- cakes were delicious...and a Jennifer to put your tea leaf container on. Don't miss it! I had the Assam tea ...lovely! We will all be back on our next visit to Stratford!

The perfect afternoon (actually midday) tea in a great themed restaurant. But this is no mickey mouse operation. The whole ambience is done really well, from the décor to the music to the service - all play a part for a relaxing time with a good choice of excellent sandwiches, cakes and of course a proper pot of tea.
