We wished we had booked at 5 as at 530 we didn't feel we could risk a dessert before the show. The food was superb and the set menu great value. A special of gnocchi and pulled pork was delicious and we recommend the lamb fritters. The steak was also a big hit.

Stopped for a meal after a day out. Staff were welcoming and helpful with requested variations to food. The premises are in an old house which is immaculatey clean and, I thought, tastefully decorated. Undertstated and elegant. The meal was perfect. Beatifully presented, adequate portions of meat and vegetables and full of just the right amount of flavour. Thank you... More

Sunday Lunch-19th October 2014. This was a friend's birthday party and the restaurant was booked exclusively for that. With upwards of 50 people one might worry about things going awry; not so - it was perfect. Service and food both exemplary, and it was not a set menu - plenty of choice. There is some decent competition around locally, but... More

As with most places in Stratford if you want pre theatre you need to book. We arrived at 5pm prior to out 7.30 performance and that was plenty of time for 3 courses from the a la carte There is a set menu if you have less time. Everything was excellent. It is very reasonably priced. A good and varied... More

Finding a good but reasonably priced pre-theatre meal in Stratford is not as easy as it should be. Our theatre group decided to try this one out, having in the past frequently eaten at the Windmill pub opposite, whose fare is cheap ad cheerful. This was an altogether more pleasing experience. Most of us went for the 2 course £13.95 option,... More

What else can you say when you have had an excellent night, maybe apart from thank you to the chef and staff. This was our 7th Michelin recommended restaurant on our tour around England beauty spots, and this one was certainly in the top three so far, with only six more to go. Again thank you for the lovely evening,... More

Atmosphere, company, setting and service all very pleasant. Have to say though we had the tasting menu. Immensely over priced for what it was. Minimal food, not exceptional and the accompanying wines were not very interesting - drinkable but nothing amazing The a la carte might be worth a try but I wouldn't return to find out. Sorry

We are regular visitors to N09 but decided to do their 9 course tasting menu & from start to finish it was absolutely fantastic. Each course was well planned & thought about & completely deeelish. The lamb was cooked to perfection, the salmon was just yum & the apple sorbet with Bison Grass Vodka was a taste sensation. The female... More

Have always booked a table at this restaurant whenever I see a play at the theatre in Stratford upon Avon and so far I have never been disappointed. I ordered from the a la carte menu this time and it was fabulous. For starter I had cod fish cake with mussels and prawns. It was nice and light. I had... More
