Lunch at Loch Fyne, Kenilworth

We went for lunch on Valentine's day. We went for the Lobster fruit of the Loch. Cost £60. The seafood just wasn't fresh. The oysters were good - but everything else was tough (shellfish) - or chalky and dry (in the case of the lobster/prawns/langoustine). Nothing else comes with the seafood - so... read more

A wonderful fish restaurant and a fine eatery. The standard and quality of the food is really good. A great place to go if you like a fish. My only issue would be that I came home stinking, the extraction is not the best and as everything is cooked in the openness of the restaurant, the cooking smells absorb straight... More

me and my friend ordered the lobster bisque and salmon as starters. they arrived quite late. took us another long while to wait for our mains. the taste of my friend's seafood risotto was alright for the price of 14 quid, but certainly not its portion, which was quite small indeed. but my seafood grill was even more horrible. it... Had dinner here with my husband. My starter arrived almost blackened - garlic prawns. It was mainly burnt oil and 5 over done prawns swimming in the oil. Even though I complained we were still billed for it. The mains were tasty. I had a whole sea bass and asked for a salad instead of potatoes. The salad never arrived... More

We have visited this restaurant on several occasions and on our visit a few months back the service was not what it should have been but we went again this evening and it was a completely different experience. The food was delicious and I honestly did not want my meal to end! The service that we received off our waiter... More

Popped in here with parents as we wanted a light lunch. We walked in via the front bar area which was empty. I approached an harassed waitress who was behind the bar. I asked whether we could have a snack in the bar area, she snapped, we could and she would deal with us once she had finished dealing with... More

Had a lovely surprise when we turned up for our booking on 25 January to find they had a piper and a Burns night menu. I had haggis and scallops for starters which was excellent, my husband had Cullen Skink, also very nice and for mains we both had a sirloin steak, yummy. Bit disappointed that the clootie dumpling was... More

Went to loch fyne for a burns special. First they could not find the booking and the lady explained the person taking the bookings did not have good English so must of not heard my name. Mmmm. Never mind we had a drink first and both of us thought the place could do with a lick of paint. We where... More

Have visited this restaurant twice. Service akin to faulty towers!!! Staff are not trained well & have no clue re the menu. Charged for bread & olives really!!?? Restaurant opposite lovely old pub in old kenilworth so lots of trade but need to up their game. Would give it a wide berth. Plenty of other options in the area.
