Visited here last Monday for a meal with friends and was very unimpressed from start to finish. We chose Loch Fyne as have eaten at their restaurant in Guildford in Surrey on a few occasions and have always been served fantastic food. However, on this occasion, it was not to be. We had to wait quite a time to be... More

Chose to visit Loch Fyne for our wedding anniversary. As I have Coeliac Disease eating in a fish restaurant where food is freshly prepared can be of benefit to ensure a Gluten Free meal is available. The staff could not have been more helpful providing advice about the dishes, consulting the chef and arranging for my main course to be... More

Last night's meal at Loch Fyne has to be one of the worst that I have experienced in a good while. The fish was barely warm, the so called saute potatoes looked and tasted like left over boiled potatoes from the day before (I even had to double check that they were indeed saute) and I could only eat one.... The location and food are excellent, however the service was appalling. We asked for nibbles after a long wait and reminding the staff we finally received them. Overall it took over 2 hours for two courses. As residents of the hotel we also expected to be able to get a drink after the bar has closed, however this is not... More

This was our first visit to Kenilworth. The weather was great last Sunday so a nice day out was required. Kenilworth Castle seemed ideal. Then we needed a good restaurant after our journey and before the sightseeing afternoon. This newish Loch Fyne is at the end of an ancient hight street. Charming and in a lovely small old hotel. The... More

This is my first time in a mainly seafood restaurant, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We were prompted seated and drinks order taken. I tried the Oysters, which I now like, a oyster virgin no more! For my main I selected Sea bass, pan fried, tomato salsa, with dauphinoise potatoes & green beans with the seafood medley (mussels, scallops... More

The Loch Fyne was my base camp for a three day business trip to the area. Arriving quite late was not an issue, I was made very welcome and the chief was hugely accommodating making me a late snack. The rooms are just fine and the breakfast choice was amazing. I dined at the Loch every evening and sampled my... More

We are frequent diners here - excellent food (particularly fish and seafood, but also caters for other tastes), lovely atmosphere, and (so far) no disappointments! The staff are even adept at making young children welcome - introducing 'Lobbie' the lobster - still very much alive, if not kicking too hard! Overall, one of our favourite restaurants.
