Some friends recommended this restaurant while we were running the GNR. A good shout by them, the food was very nice. We had an amazing aubergine dish and would have happily paid the bill again just for the recipe, but it's their signature dish so very hush hush. We thought we'd ordered sensibly but the portions were huge and we... More

Went there one day with my family for dinner. Like the modern deco and staffs were really nice. Most important is the food! Have tried few chinese restaurants in Newcastle city centre and this is definitely the best. Will come back again!

.Came to heihei on friends recommendation, nice modern decor, the food is great and staffs are very helpful. Traffic is also convenient, located on the busiest road near grey s moment, lots of bars and restaurants. Will visit again on our night out.

Having fallen out of love with Chinese food a few years ago, its refreshing to find a Chinese restaurant with a twist. The staff were very pleasant, the early bird menu varied, and the food very fresh and tasty. I ordered the chicken pieces with Szechuan peppercorns and dried chillies, with egg fried rice. The fried chicken was lovely and crispy... More

The food was amazing and the service great! We went for a big family lunch for a special occasion and has one of the banquets. The food was great quality and delicious. Very attentive and friendly staff too.

I've visited a few times, with my partner and with family and its always amazing. Great value too if you go early evening, 2 courses for 7.95. Food is good quality and well presented. Only downside is there isn't much atmosphere. I wouldn't normally visit somewhere so quiet, but as the food is so good I keep going back. However... More

Visited on Friday evening as a party of four and had a set banquet meal which was ok really - but nowhere near as good as we had hoped from reading other reviews. To be honest the food was ok but some of the dishes were a not as hot as they might have been. Service was friendly and efficient... More

Having recently moved back to the North East of England after 3 years of working in Asia, I now find myself unable to eat your run of the mill 'Chinese Garden' take-away. With my girlfriend visiting from Singapore, I found this the perfect opportunity to explore the well rated Chinese restaurants that the North East has to offer and quickly... More

HeiHei offers a wide selection of food. The quality? Good. Taste? Somewhat bland but could be what I ordered. Would I go again? Yes, I'd go and try something different.

Came here for a family meal early one evening. Food was very tasty and authentic (I am Chinese). Lots of Chinese people eating here which is a good sign for the quality of the cooking. Our young children enjoyed what they had (we ordered lots of dishes to share) and the waiters and waitresses were all very efficient. Atmosphere was... More
