We ate here on a Saturday night prior to a coast to Coast cycle. It surpassed our expectations in food quality and choice. Really excellent menu and wonderfully helpful and attentive staff. The lasagne was amazing as was the aubergine wrapped in Parma ham and cooked in tomato and cheese. We were Amazed how cheap it was for the quality.... More

We've visited many times, as a couple, family or big group. Always well catered for, and great service. The place is always busy so the service can be variable depending on when you visit, but has a great range of food, and lovely wine. The price is very reasonable, and have recommended this to other family & friends previously &... More

We just had dinner here on a Saturday night, and I think it might be our new favorite restaurant in Newcastle! We booked online, and it does get busy in the evenings so you should reserve to be safe. It's owned by a Sardinian family and the menu has lots of Sardinian specialities that I haven't seen before. All the... More

I've been to several Italian restaurants but I must say that Pani's is the best, by far. The staff are very friendly and create a very welcoming atmosphere. They are very friendly and happy to chat and have a bit of banter. In many respects the staff are what makes Pani's special - many places serve good food but I... More

A real Italian (better, Sardinian, an Italian isle) restaurant. Staff competent and friendly. Fantastic seafood and very good wines.

Could not fault the reasonably priced food and excellent waiter. However, being followed into the street by one of the waitresses after leaving has put me off returning as she was querying if we had paid. We hadn't even seen / spoken to her during our time there. Couldn't understand why she was coming outside as we had passed the... More

Wonderful restaurant, amazing food. Friendly staff. The only downside was it was really noisy. It won't put us off going again though.

Pani's is a classic and a one of a kind. The buzz and atmosphere is worth a visit alone but the food is fresh, delicious and quick which makes it perfect for a business lunch. Anything from a Milanese sandwich to fresh pasta everything is great. The service is always ultra friendly and attentive. I would recommend Pani's to anyone... More

Went here with a whole troop of friends. We were very well fed. Great service, scrummy food. I had the aubergine parmigiana which was great. They have a good selection of wine, and some very reasonably priced, not horrible ones. Good for dining out on a student budget!

Panis is like the Tardis up the back lane opposite the Bacchus. Family run restaurant with excellent service (never seen so many attentive waiters). The food is typical Italian pastas and pizzas etc BUT they produce the most delicious fish soup I have ever tasted. It is worth a visit JUST FOR THE SOUP!! Ideal for a quick lunch or... More
