Great food, great prices, great service. This is great for lunch with friends or family and they will accommodate small groups very well. Never had a bad meal here.

Usually pop in for something to eat before the theatre - however, love this place so much, pop in even when not going to the theatre. Menu is varied and caters for people like me who are picky eaters! Keep up the good work everyone, we will be back

A friend and I went here today for lunch. Very handy for the Theatre Royal, great lunch menu and, I believe, a more extensive evening menu. Extremely reasonable prices; tasty, simple food using first rate ingredients. The staff were friendly and service was prompt. I will definitely eat here again and look forward to bringing my kids and trying some... More

This place is wonderful. It is tucked away in a side street but easy to find. They are helpful and friendly without being pushy and 'in your face'. The food is delicious and authentic. We have been here a few times now when in Newcastle and will definitely be back. Try the double thick hot chocolate, mmmmmm!

Over 15 years we have been coming to Pani's from 95 miles away. The food is consistently good and served amazingly quickly. There is a core of older excellent servers with a constant stream of younger cheerful attentive italians. They manage to do naturally in a foreign language that most places fail to do allover the country. No need for... More

I have not eaten in this restaurant for several years . I visited tonight and was warmly welcomed back and had a great meal. The staff were great and the food was served and presented well. The pasta was well cooked and the sauces full of flavour. The desserts were great too with one of the best tiramisu you could... More

I love Pani's - they are so lovely with bambinos, and the service is great - the wine list is among the best in Newcastle

I have been eating here for well over 5 years now, the atomosphere is chilled and relaxed, which comes from the staff - who are very friendly and effcient ! The food is delicious and the menu is different to your bog standard italian - it's god value for money and I have never had a problem with either the... More

Unfortunately, although we have a sizable ex pat Repubblica Italiana population in Newcastle we don't possess a great deal of authentic Italian cuisine however, the Pani brothers have been serving up home cooked mama food forever. Very good

Three of us visited on a weekday at the start of March for a simple, one-course birthday lunch. It was lovely: good food, service (even though very busy), atmosphere and value. Would recommend.
