We absolutely love Indian food...by far Sachins is the best Indian Restaurant in Newcastle by a country mile. Bob and Neeta always make us feel welcome. There is a great atmosphere and I can honestly say in the 16 years I've been going...I've never had a disappointing experience. We totally recommend you give this gem a go

Decided to check it out as had great reviews and my god it deserves them. Lovely staff who know the dishes and give helpful advice on making a choice. Poppadoms were to die for especially the dips. The chicken in the main dishes was all good quality with no fat. So tasty, definitely the best Indians I've ever had. Only... More

After visiting multiple 'so called' indian restaurants where there is nothing Indian about it, I was gobsmacked by the delicacy and quality of food in Sachins. The foods reflects Indian food culture and makes an Indian 'feel home'. Food is just delicious. Do try 'Dal Makhani' with Naan platter if you fond something vegetarian. Paneer tikka as a starter is... More

saw this restaurant being featured in a BBC food programme. there say there's no such thing as bad publicity, and guess this was an example. having seen the previous reviews of this restaurant, i knew I had to come here when i was in the area. lunch time is a very narrow window gap of 12 to 1.30 we were... Couldn't decide where to go for a change on a Friday night and my friends were surprised that I had never been to Sachins. Menu was easy to read and the descriptions of the dishes really helped to choose our starters. The manager helped me with my mains choice as I was looking for something different from what I would... A little on the pricey side & the portions are on the small side however the dishes are delicious, freshly prepared with truly authentic sauces unlike what you get at most pseudo-Indian curry restaurants. So if your preference is for vindaloo & lager don't bother otherwise you won't be disappointed whatever you try. You need to book ahead.

Not quite as good as reviews suggested but best I have tried in Newcastle so far. Service ok, food good average, atmosphere ok. More clarity of spice n' herb flavours would have been good.

Authentic flavours, each dish tasted great and distinctly spiced. Staff were attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was superb. We didn't want for anything more.
