Came here with friends on a recent weekend break to Newcastle, made an online reservation as a result of trip advisor positive reviews. Contemporary decorated with very helpful and pleasant waiting staff. A large menu with some very unusual starters. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food, though my curry was cooked more hot than I'm accustomed to. It did state... More

Me and the hubby went to Sachin's on Saturday night. Got the table straightaway . But while ordering the food especially mentioned that we want the food to be mild and confirmed this with the waiter twice. But when the food came hubby's lamb kashmiri was full of spices and the naans were like the papas. We did not enjoy... More

This is by far my favourite Indian restaurant and my partners favourite restaurant full stop! We love coming here for the fresh home cooked meals which we have never had a problem with,my favourite is the Korma- yes sounds boring but cooked punjab style it's got a slight kick to it which compliments the creaminess of the dish! My boyfriend... More

Being in town for a few days and fancying to treat myself to an Indian I sensibly looked towards Tripadvisor to research somewhere decent. Sachins was well reviewed previously and close by, all good. Popped in before only to find it really busy but booked myself a table for the following evening. Well decorated in a contemporary style, money having... More

I have been going to Sachins for 30 years and have never been disappointed with my experience. Over the years I have tried most things on the menu and have some favourites, especially on the Spice Trail section. This time I was guided by the brilliant owner, Bob Arora (who is also a superb chef by the way), to yet... More

What can I say - the place is amazing! Where do I start... The staff - Sachins friendly and experienced staff are always on hand to assist in menu choices (they can recommend all different types of curry from a fantastic menu- spicy, creamy, packed with flavour, subtle flavour etc etc) they always bend over backwards to fit you in... I'd read a few good reviews about the place on TA so I thought I'd check it out. When I arrived the waiter said 'can you vacate your table by 8pm' (gave me an hour and a quarter so I agreed). Ordered 2 poppodoms while I read the menu. The waiter said 'would one regular and a spicy be OK?'.... More

Hi I haven't responded to any TA for a little while not because I'm not interested but because I feel everyones entitled to their opinion and after all we are human and probably don't get it right all the time. The reason for my response this time however is I'm really not sure why you were so upset. Was it... More

I like to see and taste the ingredients in my curry so when it comes all mushed up tasting"ok" but nothing better than the average takeaway Im disappointed I couldn't taste any spices other than garlic in a Bhuna and as I say I don't know what was in it because it was mush strangest nan I've ever had too... Hi 800Barry I am really surprised you couldn't taste the difference between the Bhuna & the fish dish. The Bhuna has 15 different spices alone, they are added to the dish at various stages to release their flavours. The fish dish you had has whole red chillies and chilli flakes so both dishes are totally different. I can only surmise... More
