We were in newcastle for two nights and were told by our lovely taxi driver to come here for dinner on our stay! We decided to take his advice as it was just around the corner from where we were staying in Jurys inn! And boy we were glad we came. On arrival the waiter said that he was fully... More

This is a stylish restaurant and the most flavoursome in Newcastle. Having eaten Dhesi (homemade) food, I'm assured by Indians who ate here, this is the closest to authentic Indian. The starters are varied and close to how mother makes. The mains are plentiful. It's worth a trip to entertain a loved one or visit with friends. It's not a... More

A friend and I visited as part of his birthday celebrations. As someone who isn’t all that into Indian food, I was a little sceptical of his choice of restaurant – but as it was his birthday I went along with it. Having said that, I’m glad I did go along with it! We were shown to our table before... More

When Indian restaurants are a dime a dozen you have to do something fairly inventive to stand out from the crowd. Sadly it doesn't. It's not that the food isn't nice, it's all well cooked and pleasant, but it's not amazing. And it really needs to be amazing if it's worth a return visit.

We had a superb dinner, very spicy, full of delicious flavours. The staff is very helpful although you have to be prepared to wait a lot between courses (maybe because the restaurant was so full, probably because it is so good). Ask the maitre D to help you choose among the almost unending choice of delicacies. Be prepared for an... More

Each and every time I visit it is a new and enjoyable experience, the Lamb dishes are my favourite and I often have a Lamb starter, Lamb Main and a Lamb desert (kidding) but I would. The staff are first rate, highly attentive and can describe and break down any item on the menu to suite any palate, often if... More

After months of people saying how nice the food was, I thought I'd see what the fuss was about. Without waffling on i'll get to the point.. Superb food, very reasonably priced. The lamb was fantastic - highly recommended. Everything down to the naan was fantastic! Only wish I'd gone sooner! Hopefully i'll be back before Christmas as a treat... More
