As a restaurant that has been highly rated by some, there are certainly some limitations. Visited with our son and his wife for his birthday. The drinks menu is very wine-focused, with few offers for soft drinks or beers. The starters were interesting and well presented. The main courses were generous but not very inspiring - more expensive than the...

Had the pleasure of dining at Vujon for the second time on Good Friday, 29 March 2013. We had a party of 6. The wine and food were very good again. I'm really surprised to read some of the disappointing reviews and low ratings for the restaurant. When it comes to service, I think we had 4 or 5 different...

Firstly, I would like to say that the staff were polite, friendly and courteous. However, the food....oh the food!!
We had such high hopes for the place after it was highly recommended by the hotel. My colleague and I went to Vujons last week and the food was, to put it bluntly, awful. I do not understand how it has...

My husband and I were staying in Newcastle for a few nights and fancied a change of food. We just happened to stumble across this Restraunt as we were wandering around. We were so pleased we did. The food is of the highest quality. All of our courses were delicious with wonderful flavours. The breads and accompaniments were gorgeous too!...

I am lucky enough to have been taken to dinner in this restaurant last Monday. The restaurant is in an excellent space, a wonderfully capacious room, excellently proportioned and so welcoming. I live in the South East of England . . . this was like the best bits of Veeraswamy, Chutney Mary and Rasa rolled into one. Utterly fabulous!
Why Vujon is not in the top ten is beyond me. The interior decor was beautiful, clearly a lot of thought and design effort has gone into it. Great music was being played in the background rather than the traditional twangy stuff. The restrooms were also modern, clean and fresh.
We had the set meal @ £30/person. And was unlike...

One word - WOW. It was me and my wife's first time at the Vujon and you instantly spot that this isnt your usual greasy indian restaurant/takeaway. This is a 5 star, award winning restaurant. All the deco is flawless. The food was nothing like I had ever tasted before, a true gem not only in Newcastle but in the...

I have eaten here before and had great service and great food so I had no hesitation in booking this restaurant for a stag do. The food was good service very slow staff unfriendly and the bill when it arrived was almost double what it should have been! Perhaps they need to realise that not every one gets drunk on...
