Has definately been the restaurant of choice over the years on Stowell Street for us - after last night - no more. Chose the early bird Thai menu - soups delicious - appertizers -ok. One main meal and large bowl of rice arrived with stone cold plates - we asked the waitress if we could have warm plates - she... More

We ate an early evening meal at this restaurant, though we were put off a little by the reviews here. The decor is a little on the old fashioned, Chinese restaurant in the seventies, style but pleasant enough. Service was prompt and unobtrusive. As to the food, we started with chicken noodle and hot and sour soup and followed this... More

I am really annoyed about some of the reviews posted about this restaurant. Most Chinese food has to be freshly prepared so you do have to wait a while for your meal - it is certainly well worth the wait! We travel over 30 miles to eat here. My nephew is married to a lovely Chinese lady who orders from... More

I don't normally review restaurants but we waited sooo long for our main course and when it arrived it came with a dessert of attitude from the waitress. Please don't go here if you want a pleasant evening.

I made a reservation specifically because I was told when i booked that the karaoke room downstairs would be open, food was ok although i though the beef was a bit chewy, after we had finished our meal we asked to go on karaoke only to be told by one of the waiting staff that the manager said it was... After being asked four times what drinks we wanted by different members of staff we were given left over prawn crackers which had sauce on them and were in half!!! Starter- "dragon & phoenix soup" actually is soup with bits of chicken and crab sticks instead of chicken breast and prawn.., Main course- egg fried rice, swimming in butter? Got... More

We visited this restaurant for a lunch time special. I'd say the food was good but what was off putting were the two girls who waited on. They just seemed offhand. To make matters worse they overcharged on the drinks by double. The restaurant wasn't busy by any means and I just had that sneaking suspicion that this wasn't an... More

We wanted to eat Thai so went here. We had to ask for a Thai menu as it appears they mainly serve chinese food. The starter platter for two was fried chicken satay, fried, chicken, fried spring rolls and fried prawn toast - too many deep fried items which we found heavy going for a starter. The staff cleared the... More

Just visited with the wife (who is Chinese) and we were looking through the limited menu ... when she asked if they had any other food, a Chinese language one was produced with all the "good stuff" on it. Why I questioned why this wasn't offered in English I was told because I probably wouldn't like the "weird stuff" !?!... More
