One of those restaurants you'll discover by word of mouth rather than by walking past. Tucked away down Market Lane, Paradiso is a hidden treasure. The restaurant is split into three main floors. The first floor, which is also the main seating floor seats up to 60, has a bar and a spacious outdoor terrace for alfresco dining. The second floor contains the open-plan kitchen and another seating area, which is able to seat up to 50. This floor is smaller than the first floor, but is still capable of holding large parties with ease, and again, we can accommodate parties of any size and number. If you require more privacy, our third floor is a private dining room which can seat up to 45. As this room features skylights, it is a bright, warm space and is spacious enough to be used for any kind of event, such as dining, presentations and so on.

Visited on Monday 23rd June 2014 Saw reviews on TripAdvisor so decided to give it a shot - definitely worth a visit! Excellent service and value for money - huge portions! Lovely atmosphere and just a generally enjoyable meal. There is a good choice of food and drink.

Went to Paradiso last night after reading the reviews on trip advisor, what a brilliant find! Food was beautiful, so much choice, excellent set menu too which is unusual for a restaurant in town on a saturday night! Only thing which wasnt a massive issue for us as we already knew what drinks we were ordering, was that there was... More

Knowing that myself and a few friends where heading too newcastle i decided to look through tripadvisor and find the restaurant with the mixture of dishes as 1 or 2 have only specific things they will and won't eat. We arrived late but before i had a chance to apologies where welcomed by a warm smile and the rest followed.... More

I was waiting an authentic Italian pizza but I ate a fake one....sometimes In the Italian restaurant I think that the chef is not Italian or he simply forgets the Italian recipes.

I have been to Paradiso countless times, I went with friends last night to watch Italy v England. The atmosphere was great and the food was delicious! (I had chicken skewers - would highly recommend) Even though it was extremely busy the service was great!! :-)

visited using a voucher.not particularly busy but a good general vibe, Staff were frienly, attentive without being in yr face. Food was tasty and freshly cooked. Will look forward to going again. One slight negative was the volume of the background msic--too high

We went there with no knowledge of this place other than the TripAdvisor posting. So glad we went. Very busy especially for a Tuesday night but we quickly got a seat and despite it being so busy, the staff took great care of us the food was wonderful, both the risotto and the pasta.

I visited Paradiso with a friend in May after purchasing a deal on Living Social. It is tucked away in a little side street and although I visit Newcastle regularly I hadn't realised it was there, but what a find! We ate early and it was very quiet when we first got there but within a short time it began... More
