One of those restaurants you'll discover by word of mouth rather than by walking past. Tucked away down Market Lane, Paradiso is a hidden treasure. The restaurant is split into three main floors. The first floor, which is also the main seating floor seats up to 60, has a bar and a spacious outdoor terrace for alfresco dining. The second floor contains the open-plan kitchen and another seating area, which is able to seat up to 50. This floor is smaller than the first floor, but is still capable of holding large parties with ease, and again, we can accommodate parties of any size and number. If you require more privacy, our third floor is a private dining room which can seat up to 45. As this room features skylights, it is a bright, warm space and is spacious enough to be used for any kind of event, such as dining, presentations and so on.

One of the best meals i've had

Gorgeous little find from my other half, lovely atmosphere, service and food! Wouldnt fault a thing, the staff were lovely and catered for anything (even a cocktail they'd never heard of before), the service was quick and always there if you needed anything! Recommended by a friend we decided to have a pre theatre meal at Paradiso. It was great and have recommended it to my friends. We chose the special menu of two courses for £9.95 or 3 courses for £12.95. There was a good selection on each course, including veggie, and wine too. The food was delicious and the atmosphere in... Three of us were in Newcastle for an overnight Friday visit. We were looking for Italian food later in the evening so I used Trip Advisor to locate the Italian restaurants in Newcastle and Paradiso came tops so I called them and booked a table for later that night. The place was busy when we arrived so I was pleased... More

Friendly bistro with good service and early bird menu not far from Theatre Royal. Cocktails and Mediterranean mix: Turkish, Italian, Greek food. Excellent mussels and impressive desserts with decent coffee. Friendly staff. Beware quite steep stairs for elderly or infirm.

Tried Paradiso for the first time after having it recommended to me by a friend Absolutely loved the place - really good atmosphere, the staff made us feel completely at home, and the food was some of the best I’ve had outside of Italy - very authentic. Reasonably priced too, will return.

My wife and I visited this restaurant along with some family on a Saturday night and had a table booked for 8.30pm for the six of us.. On entry to the restaurant we couldn't even get to the top of the stairs due to quite a few people in front of us which always is a good sign. We were... More

We went as part of a party of 8 for a Christmas night out. I would definitely like to return so i can give the food more of my attention. The atmosphere was nice and the staff friendly. I would recommend the set menu at 2 courses for 12.95 and 3 courses for 17.95. Plenty of veggie options which is... More
