Just love this place. I have been going here for years, and other than having to cue sometimes ( its great if you are not driving and can have a drink), its almost perfect. Friendly staff, good atmosphere and food, at very reasonable prices.

The last time I visited this restaurant was over 20 years ago and it is likely to be the same length of time before I go back. This restaurant has a reputation of being 'outstanding ' but I just don't know why. The service was disinterested and sloppy. There is a feeling if getting you in and out as quickly... More

A great meal in Newcastle's best Italian. The last time I had a meal as good at this I was in the Hilton's Blue Elephant in Malta. Maybe people are jealous or they are from rival restaurants because this is consistently good. I'd take a look at how many reviews these people have written of other restaurants (none at the... More

We've been to this restaurant quite a few times, and its consistently good. Nice family atmosphere, good service, and the menu offers a lot of choice. I had prawn picante, and it was extremely good. The bill came to £15 per head for starter and main course.

I have travelled all around Italy and I'm still to find an Italian restaurant better than this place. The food is cheap (but i'd happily pay a lot more)! A real traditional decor. Advise to get there early as it gets very busy (an indication of just how good it is). Alternatively go there around 8:30. A definite must if... More

Absolutly crap no taste what so ever would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Service was terrible, really need a new cook and staff as both were bad. Food is tasteless would never go here again, might be reasonable priced but if rather pay more for food that you can taste 0-10

Myself and partner arrived in the Jesmond area of Newcastle not knowing where to eat and we were told about this place. We arrived and waited for about 10-15 minutes and a waiter taken our orders before we were seated. Once seated the food came quickly and was very nice. Top service also and would go back again if in... More

First time here and not disappointed. No booking needed, but had to wait a little while as we were a party of 9. Once seated service was pretty quick and all of our orders arrived soon after. Portion sizes were perfect and food was very tasty. Definitely a great place to eat and very family friendly. Total cost for food... More

Stuck in a b & b all week decided to wander down the road and try this place out. 6.15 on a Tuesday night and it was packed, got to be a good sign. Went for the whitebait starter which was great, big portion too then Calzone pizza for main which again was huge. Washed down with a Moretti beer... More
