Excellent Food - Shame about the Hipsters!

OK – please don’t let the title of this review fool you, I’m actually very impressed with Bierrex! For a place that doesn’t accept booking save for parties of 6 or more, when tipping up on a Saturday night you have to accept it’s a bit of a lottery whether or not you get a seat! The mrs and I... read more

We went here after dAtBar and really enjoyed even more selection of some great craft beers. We didn't try the food but the restaurant was busy. Despite the place being really busy, (around 10/11 on Saturday night) we were able to get in and get served easily. The music was good and there was a decent atmosphere. Would definitely try... We went for a first visit for the main reason of the tap real ale option we had heard about. In this area the option was vast and varied although more overpriced than the location requires On arrival the interior was smart and pleasing. I found fast this is where the focus is, as the staff clearly couldn't be bothered... More

Only recently discovered the heaven that is pulled pork and wow; these guys have top trumped it! Lovely plate full and so yummy. Lovely garlic fresh bread toasted on the side and a lovely portion of collared greens. Very hearty. Thank you for having me and I shall return! Xx

So we visited here, having heard some great reviews since the refurb. All in all its not a bad venue, bags of potential. There seems to be a lack of atmosphere particularly in the bar. We did not choose to eat on this occasion but the delightful aromas from the dining area hits you as soon as you walk in.... More

If you like meat and you love beer, it's a no brainer. The food is very nice with great service, highly recommended for families or group of friends in a lovely atmosphere.

Beer selection very good, not just the 30 taps but the multitude of bottles make this a beer lovers heaven. Went there in a quiet night, food coming out the kitchen looked very good, but had eaten already so didn't order. Did take a lot longer than it should to get another beer though. Some staff ill equipped for bar... More

Just not what I signed up for, expected way better, been here twice now and both times haven't had what I wanted to order. Main issue would be with the slightly burnt, not hot and meat-less chicken we were served... Baffled that a place who promotes meat, smoke house etc, lacks in being able to provide meat with their meals?... More

Saturday night visit with friends, good beer menu with 40+ options on tap and plenty of interesting bottles. The food menu is obviously bbq / smoke themed, but the most interesting thing for me were the traditional southern-style sides. We tried Collard Greens, bbq beans, corn and sweet potato fries and all were good - would definitely recommend the bbq... More

I've been to Bierrex for a quiet drink and would recommend it for beer/lager fans as they have a massive range of draft and bottles to try. You can pick a nice stool by the window and just watch the world go by. We went recently for lunch and were really impressed. The burger was divine and was cooked medium... More
