Disappointing. Opted for a mackerel salad the cost £8.50. It became a game of find the fish among very few leaves and hard potatoes. Waiter was very good when confronted with my complain. Might go back due to him.

Attractive and inviting restaurant on a small parade of shops and other restaurants. We went on a lunchtime and it was busy - which is a good thing. Friendly, buzzy atmosphere, varied clientele; we were quickly seated. The tables are packed in a bit, making it difficult to squeeze between without disturbing others, but the casual easy going feel of... More

Arrived at 5.45 Friday evening with wife and son we were visiting . Asked for a table and were given a table by the window. We ordered meals , four drinks and a bottle of wine. At ten past seven we were asked to leave our table as it was apparently booked for 7.30 we still had half a bottle... More

Made one of our regular Sunday breakfast visits to Arlo. The service was good and friendly, food well cooked and nicely presented. It was a popular choice, with the place being pretty much full by 10am. I am sure we will be back again!

Been here several times and (as the saying goes) when it's good it's very good but when it's bad it's terrible. The food is usually fabulous but the service can be unpredictable - particularly at weekends. We've often waited half an hour to have our order taken and then an hour for food to arrive. It's a shame as the... More

Out for a walk around a local park, we came upon this place by accident and were lucky to get seats straight away judging by the queue that developed a little later. I was tempted by the idea of a cheese scone but relented when I saw the size of them! In fact all the breakfast servings passing us by... More

Was pleasantly surprised to read about drinks offer on Arlo's website but disappointed to be told when we visited on the 7th March that the offer finished on March 1st. Food was very nice but website needs updating.

Arrive early! Arlo's fills up rapidly, but we had plenty of space to choose from. Eclectic decor makes a change from the usual chain-cafe furnishings. We enjoyed cooked breakfast, eggs benedict, sausage sandwich, fresh coffee (with petit four sized brownie pieces) and some muffins to take away. Good atmosphere, sit in the window and watch the world go by -... More

Always nice and a favourite of mine. Nice staff, they never hurry you. Easy parking considering it's Jesmond.

Took our daughter for breakfast recently and was quite disappointed. Our breakfast was very slow to be served and when it was brought to our table the server made no effort to explain or apologise for the delay. The table beside was served before us even when they had arrived later than us.The food at Arlo is still good but... More
