For years I've gone to blakes for kippers, and really fancied them last week. So when I want to order them at the counter, to be told they have been taking off the menu I was gutted😣 the guy behind me in the Que. said Quay ingredient does great kippers, and he was not wrong. The best I have had... More

We normally hold short meetings in this cute place. I normally don't get anything as I am on a diet. But one of the waiters offered tap water. Also watching the other waitress be very polite and attentive. As I said these guys know customer service

As a self confessed bofficianado, life is recognised as so much more than "just a bowl of cornflakes". Thus it is with the opinion of a mildly suboctogenerian with an expletive amount of experience subceinture that this little gem is recommended to a discerning public. It is as complete in its joyfulness as the Cafe al Mar in Boris and... More

Visited this small eatery on Sunday 25th January 2014 with my wife. The place is small with only a few tables but don't let this put you off. We had a short wait at the front of the restaurant before we got sat down. We both had breakfast tea, orange juice, I opted for the full English and my wife... More

We visited Quay Ingredient as the reviews were so good . We weren't disappointed as the welcome was great and the breakfast even better. We decided on the full English ,even though the recommendation was for Eggs benedict ! (I've since returned and had the Eggs benedict ,they were excellent !) everything was cooked fresh and obviously great quality ,... More

Visited on a Saturday morning - the cafe is small and it was busy, but the crowds come in waves and we were soon seated. The service was excellent, very friendly and efficient. Great coffee (had a hazelnut latte). My boyfriend and I had two of the recommendations - Eggs Benedict with smoked bacon for me, Craster kipper for him.... More

I've just finished the eggs benedict with bacon, and the only way I can describe my feeling is utterly satisfied. I thought I'd try twice before reviewing, and I'm so glad I did, as I was not disappointed. Eggs benedict is my favourite meal, so I have tried them in many restaurants in many countries, but Quay Ingredient do them... More

very charming little place, and the coffee which I had in a generously sized cup was really good. The staff were friendly, and the place had a cozy atmosphere. I would certainly go again if I visit Newcastle on another occasion!
