Went for breakfast on a Saturday morning after reading some good reviews and looking at pictures of the food. Tasty food but very disappointed with how they charged us £6 for an avocado that we requested as an addition to what we had ordered. This was apparently due to putting them out of another dish. Had planned to go back... More

After looking on the web beforehand, I was really looking forward to a breakfast here near the Quayside in Newcastle, but was a bit disappointed. Yes the full English was good, and there was a big choice on the menu, but the breakfast was quite expensive I thought, at £6.95, it was also an extra £2 to add hash browns... More

We were headed to Brown's for breakfast when i googled "best breakfast in newcastle" and decided to give this place a try. It did not dissappoint. Lovely breakfast and a bucket of filter coffee. Also the champagne cork stool is the coolest seat we had ever seen!

Best Full English I've had in a very long time. Well worth the wait, will be back tomorrow! Very friendly and jolly staff, which always helps.

Food was okay but definitely over priced for what it was. Service was slow and the waitresses seemed pretty stressed. Had to wait quite a while to have someone come and take our orders and then a 10 min wait for our coffee and 30 mins for food. All considering the cafe can only seat about 15 people at the... More

This is a cozy little cafe located in a historic building called Phoenix House in Newcastle's Quayside on Queen Street, literally directly underneath the famous Tyne Bridge. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is friendly. Lovely food and great coffee too. Recommended.

This is a very small place, seating maximum of 12 I think. It is where we always go for breakfast when in Newcastle. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and will talk to you. The menu is eclectic to say the least but everything is freshly cooked to order. Asparagus, Hollandaise sauce, soft boiled egg, potato cakes and ham... More
