This is tucked away next to the quay side. The coffee was really, really good. We were quite disappointed by the toasted sandwiches, which were a bit bland, but the flapjack was good. Worth going for the coffee alone.

My wife and I had breakfast there , service and the food were excellent. We will be going back next time we visit Newcastle.

This is a very small cafe, so if you have a large party (over 4 people), its going to be difficult to get a table, and you will have to wait outside. The menu is good, and food is prepared fresh to order, The service can take a little time, and I did feel that I was at close quarters... More

They are like bacon rolls but with soft white, slightly sweet bread. Excellent bacon. Large mugs of tea. Not inexpensive, but worth it as a treat. Other people recommend the eggs benedict.

After months of trying to get into this place and being unable to due to busyness and other reasons (a maternity closure maybe?) we were eventually seated. Furnishings tasteful. Food was great and the mini pastries were great to have alongside our breakfasts. Friendly staff. Quick service. Top notch and totally worth the wait.

Superbly located on the Quayside in Newcastle. If you are staying anywhere on the Quayside, this place will sure to trump any mediocre breakfast your hotel has to offer. Each and every time I have been here I have left feeling very full and extremely satisfied with what I have just devoured. No good weekend starts without a hearty breakfast... More

I suggested a Sunday morning walk down the quayside in Newcastle, it was raining and only half the market was on but before that you need to fuel up this is were the Quay Ingredient comes in.. The place is easy to find as basically its under the bridge, a small setting probably seating for around 20-25 people at a... More

What a great place this is. Not the biggest cafe, so you may have to wait for a table, but persevere because the breakfasts are top notch. Staff are very friendly and the menu is reasonably priced. A far better option than the lukewarm buffet selection on offer at your hotel.

I always recommend this little gem to any friends or family visiting the city centre for the day because the food and service is faultless. We're regulars at this place and each time I leave feeling full and welcomed! Great, friendly service and a wonderful menu with plenty of choice. I've tested the burger which is delicious but the breakfasts... More
