Great Place - amazing bait

Family took me here for a Birthday brekkie. This place is a gem, small but full of character. The staff were friendly and attentive but it is the food which stands out. Real food to great standard. I had Craster kipper with poached eggs, absolutely perfect. My family also enjoyed the food... read more

I've wanted to visit this place for ages after hearing so many good things. We came on a Sunday morning it was so busy we had to queue to get in but it was completely worth it! Even though they were so busy their customer service didn't suffer & neither did the standard of food. We both had poached eggs... More

We had a two-night stay in Newcastle and didn't fancy paying £15 each for breakfast in the hotel.... so we came here instead, twice. There's an imaginative menu - and I reckon we could have eaten here all week and been equally impressed with every choice. I mean, haggis on toast with a fried duck egg... who'd have thought it?... Small place which adds character to this hidden gem. Great selection on their ridiculously reasonable brunch menu. Tea served in a quirky mug to match the decor. We ordered two bacon and cheese croissants, one eggs benedict with prosciutto (paid extra for avocado) and some French toast. The food was well presented on skates or wooden boards. Tasted phenomenon. The... More

Stopped off here for quick brekkie prior to work. Fast friendly service. Unique and quirky. . Food cooked freshly to order and was absolutely delicious. Can highly recommend eggs benedict with smoked bacon and vanilla latte. Will be back for lunch!

SO 600 or so rave reviews , having suffered a horrible breakfast the day before at a great hotel, 8 of us descended on QI . It's 3 tables only , orders table by table made from scratch. Expect to wait a long time. Girls had the eggs benedict , 5 stars. Us 5 boys all had the full English... More

Very small and busy place. The service is lovely, warm, personal and very northern. Kitchen can be a bit slow because it's small and they appear to cook everything (including the components of the Full English) from scratch. Eggs Benedict were fantastic -- one of the better Hollondaise sauces we've had. Craster kippers were a delightful surprise.

Stumbled across this lovely cafe when walking along the quayside. The food is absolutely delicious, one of the best full English I have had in a while - the blonde girl serving was fantastic - we will be back!!

Stayed at the Premier Inn, but wouldn't touch their breakfast offering. Found this lovely one-off cafe just around the corner from the Tyne Bridge. Lovely food & excellent coffee with great, friendly service. Excellent.

Went here for breakfast after staying at the Premier Inn Quay side just round the corner. Much better breakfast than on offer at the hotel, asparagus and poached eggs very good as was the porridge, plus good coffee.
