Shrove Tuesday and looking around Newcastle City Centre for anywhere serving pancakes. A friend suggested QI and i phoned to check. The lady was so friendly and helpful so off we went down to the Quayside. The place is small but really "cosy" All 3 staff were friendly helpful and knowledgeable.i chose smoked salmon and scrambled egg before my pancakes... More

We were on a hen do and did our research before we went as we knew we would need something other than the hotel bog standard brekkie. All I can say is wow!! The full breakfast was massive and the quality of the food was so so good. We all went for the full English and it was up there... More

We were looking for somewhere new for lunch and happened on this great little cafe. We managed to get a table squeezed next to the serving area, but this did not spoil our enjoyment of the meal. There is a great selection of breakfast and light lunch choices on the menu. My husband had the Hebredian breakfast, which consisted of... More

We were alerted to this little gem from TripAdvisor and boy were we impressed. It may be tiny and not have many tables but from the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile and made to feel very welcome. The menu is very enticing and very metropolitan. My wife chose Eggs Benedict and I chose Eggs Hebridean... More

Tiny in comparison with breakfast places but very popular! Visited based in Tripadvisor reviews and the owners are very friendly, warm and jovial. They have an extensive breakfast menu which included full English Breakfast to Waffles etc. Tasty food but a bit pricey through as the full English breakfast was 6.95 euros and if you wanted baked beans you had... Had breakfast here on a Saturday for the first time and will definitely be coming back! Was not expecting the variety of their menu, it took me ages to decide what to have. The staff were very helpful and polite, even though it was very busy. We were lucky enough to not have to wait long for a table, either!

The Quay Ingredient offers a huge selection of different delicious breakfast dishes. I had the kipper and poached eggs while my friend enjoyed haggis with duck egg. The full English breakfast looked terrific but you have to be hungry. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. All in all a really good cafe for coffee and breakfast. Good value too.... More

Well it was this morning when we arrived at 8:24 and no explanation. It normally opens at 8 on a Saturday and we have been a number of times, enjoying the quality of food and pleasant atmosphere. So we had to walk on to Wetherspoons whose food is cheaper but not quite so good, but they do coffee refills.

Have been to the quay ingredient for breakfast a number of times and I've never been dissapointed. Their eggs benedict with crispy bacon are to die for and definitely the item on the menu I would recommend if you haven't been there before! Their full english breakfast and the pancakes are also very good. Only downside, it's a small place... More
