Amazing breakfast which is worth the wait

Situated close to the Quayside just next to the Tyne Bridge, Quay Ingredient is quite easy to find. However, it is very small, has approx. 7 tables and therefore always very busy. Usually you can expect to wait 30min until you get your order, so bring some time with you. Quay Ingredient has a... read more

We visited this cafe on the basis of the reviews we read on here. Very very pleased. Great service and great food. Staff apologised to us for our wait this morning but there was no need as we knew the cafe was busy. Loved the Stottie and their mushrooms are outstandingly amazing! Great big mug of tea which went down... More

Eggs benedict is superb! Great coffee and friendly staff complement this small fab coffee shop. Will be visiting again tomorrow for the haggis n duck egg on toast 😃

Hangover breakfast success! Eggs Benedict to be recommended , and quality coffee . Not cheap, but you get what you pay for .

My partner took me here one morning having read the good reviews. Needless to say it's now my favourite place for breakfast! The cafe is tiny but that adds to the charm. It's warm and cosy, and the staff are lovely and welcoming. Eggs benedict is my favourite breakfast, so if done badly I'm always very disappointed. This place, however,... More

Worth visiting for the breakfast burrito, but feels like the kind of place that gets so much custom (it's generally queued out the door) that the service doesn't matter so much.

I went into this cafe as my usual cafe was closed for the day... This was on my lunch break (30 minutes), I asked if they did take away and was told it would be a 15 minute wait. I ordered £10+ worth of food. I sat in the shop for 20 minutes and still no food, with 5 minutes... More

Visited here August 2014. Only just getting round to writing up a review! Highly recommend going here for breakfast, eggs Benedict and the breakfast burrito are a must try! Not many tables as only a little shop so can be a little wait as is clearly popular. Worth waiting for a seat though!
