After reading the good reviews on Trip Advisor, I visited Quay Ingredient for breakfast whilst staying on the Quayside and was not disappointed! In fact, we ended up breakfasting there every morning for the rest of our trip. The food truly was amazing, the staff were lovely and served very quickly and efficiently. The Eggs Benedict were absolutely delicious, as... More

Ended up going when it was the junior great north run fun run and the place was packed (with a queue outside and in!!) The staff handled it all really well, and were very cool in a quite manic situation! We had gone as had heard good things about the food and we weren't disappointed. My eggs Montreal was really tasty... More

After all the the good reviews I decided to see how good it was. It was strange being in there as I bought many pizzas here when it was a take away. The breakfast was the best I have had in Newcastle but not the best I have had across the country. All the meats were good quality. The toast... More

nothing to dislike about this hidden gem of a cafe, very up-market with amazing food, cooked by the owner Simon and served up by his wife Maggie, a true family business with top quality ingredients, bacon sandwiches to die for, the kippers are cooked to perfection and fortuneately they also do take-aways..... not to be missed if on the Quayside.

This place was excellent. It's most definitely the best breakfast out I've have in a long time, never mind the best breakfast in Newcastle. I had French toast that was just perfect. It wasn't stodgy or heavy as it sometimes can be. My wife had Eggs Benedict with spinach and it was frankly the best eggs benedict we have ever... More

We visited on a busy Tuesday morning around 10am and managed to get a seat as the place quickly filled up. I ordered the breakfast burrito and my wife ordered the eggs benedict with parma ham. The food took a while to arrive (a couple arriving after us received their food before us) and when it did arrive the eggs... More

We've been here a couple of times for breakfast and lunch. Both were absolutely delicious. A great atmosphere, great staff and superb food. The only improvement we could suggest is a few more seats but this places small and friendly environment is what makes it so charming and delish!

Had been told about this place by two separate people on separate occasions and both recommended Eggs Benedict. When we arrived at, were surprised how small the place is but they pack you in without you feeling like a sardine. Waitress also commented that Eggs Benedict was House Special so two of those please. Absolutely nailed, so delicious and to... More
