Breakfast

We had read the reviews on here before our visit to Newcastle so decided to give it a try, we weren't dissapointed, in fact we returned the next day. The place is on the small side and can get very busy and there is a wait for food at these times, but the food is made to order and delicious,... read more

When we went into the Quay Ingredient it was clear all the tables were full and the restaurant was busy, but a waitress came over and said she'd take our name and number and call us when a table became available. We had heard great things so were happy to wait; we went away and received a call about 40... More

Haggis and Egg was terrific; best breakfast I've had in years!! Really homely, with friendly staff and freshly cooked food. Very highly recommended.

Really nice hot chocolates and a lovely cinnamon flapjack, but service was hit and miss. We were ignored by staff when we first came in, until the manageress had finished chatting to her friend, but she was very friendly when she did seat us. We ordered hot chocolates, and the new girl took our menus away, then came back to... More

Myself and husband had the full English breakfast each. They were filling and cooked to perfection. My only crib was the tomatoes were tinned, be better off with none. Having said that , we had 2 sausages, 2 bacon, egg, black pudding, tomato, hash brown and beans for £3 each plus a coffee 70 pence, absolutely outstanding. The place itself is... More

We decided to visit for my birthday breakfast after having heard so much about this little cafe. The location is a little tucked away on a street right under the Tyne bridge but once found I can see why people return again and again. The cafe only seats about 15-20 people and has a very light and bright interior. We... More

Well pretentious title but I wish it was true, as much as I enjoy doing eggs benedict from time to time I'am afraid they will never reach the quality of the Quay ingredient ! The place is often busy, the lady is nice and they have plain and simple the egg benedict that I have eat so far.

We were in Newcastle for 4 days over this weekend and found this amazing place totally by fluke on the first morning. Everything the 4 of us had over the 4 days was first class. A particular favourite for all of us was the Eggs Benedict which are the best I've ever had. Being a coeliac finding a good breakfast... More

We went as a group of 5 on a Sunday morning for brunch and the food was really lovely. We had; Cinnamon Pancakes with Banana, Full English, Bacon Sandwich, Cinnamon French Toast and Egg's Benedict. All was freshly made in view and was really lovely. The only reason I haven't given 5 out of 5, was that it is really... More

The breakfast from here are amazing ! Definitely worth a try. I cant wait to go back. A small shop but that doesnt matter when the food and the service is excellent. Ordered the Eggs Montreal and thoroughly enjoyed it as it is one of the best ive ever eaten.
