Snug place for coffee

Popped in for just a coffee on a very cold day.. The place was heaving with customers but space made for me in a comfortable seat. Lovely coffee and the food looked and smelt fabulous but sadly no time to stay.

My boyfriend and I were down in Newcastle for the weekend and discovered this little gem on our journey. We came both mornings we were here and most definitely will be visiting again. The staff are lovely and make you feel very welcome and at home, anything you need they will help with. The food was delicious and they had... More

I've been going to quay ingredient for 2 years. The place is small and sometimes you will be waiting for a table but the food is worth it. All the food is cooked fresh to order. Maggie and Simon are very welcoming. I've tried most items on the breakfast menu- the eggs benedict/ smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and cinnamon... More

This is mostly likely the place where you can have the best Full English in the UK. All ingredients seemed to be locally sources. The black pudding was divine. Thanks.

I visited here last week with 3 friends after hearing the good reviews. The food lived up to expectations, I had eggs benedict and it was perfect. It wasn't overpriced either. The only negative is the lack of space. We were seated on the middle table (which we barely fit around anyway) and then people had to queue past us... More

Best breakfast in Newcastle - was a bit of a wait to get a table as it's small and so popular. Once you've been, you'll def want to go again!

We had lunch here and all the praise heaped on this little gem is richly deserved. The staff are great as is the food and its just that little bit different.

Heard so much about this place thought I'd give it a try on a walk to the City. The place was very busy, and although the food was good it didn't seem to live up to the fuss I was expecting

For years I've gone to blakes for kippers, and really fancied them last week. So when I want to order them at the counter, to be told they have been taking off the menu I was gutted😣 the guy behind me in the Que. said Quay ingredient does great kippers, and he was not wrong. The best I have had... More
