We were very disappointed with our experience at Albaik. I found a thick black hair in the middle of one of our dishes and although it was immediately whisked away and replaced with another dish, not one of the staff present apologised. The replacement dish was acceptable either as it was partly cold so clearly hadn't been heated through properly.... More

I've ate here a good few times now as the food is just great. Choice and authentic tastes really give you a feel for the region. I'd say it's overlooked because it sits just off a roundabout, located in byker. This doesn't stop me as the food is what matters and this place deserves custom for that alone. It is... More

Excellent Lebanese restaurant, this. Our group arrived in pairs but once we ordered our food came in about 10 minutes- and was top notch. I had the Falafel wrap, as I didn't want anything too heavy, and it was top quality, not greasy at all. We did have to ask for more of the chilli and garlic sauce as only... More

Went here in a big group for dinner. Service was excellent despite large group and very busy restaurant. Very lively and good atmosphere however tables are quite squashed together but this wasn't a problem. Wouldnt say the restaurant is very fancy either so probably not ideal for romantic meal for 2. All food was fresh and tasty. The chicken wings... More

We went there after being told of their great food. We were given a table right next to the pass which was not ideal. We ordered two soft drinks and they came in their cans - unopened !! A glass and ice would have been better. The food was excellent but service needs improving to make it better. Would definitely... More

Positives: -The food We got the £15 mixed set. Everything tasted great. We had some really big eaters in our group and still took a doggy bag home. There was the standard variety of Middle Eastern food: dips and salads, bread, chicken and lamb. -The atmosphere Bustling. Definitely a place to go in a large group for a celebration. Not... More
