If you like meat this is the place for you

This restaurant isn't in the best of areas but the food is really good and you can bring your own booze which is always a bonus. I had the bake mixed grill and I was stuffed, the potions are huge and the food is really good. The service was decent but could have been better.

Having been away for two years we came back and found the food had got even better. The vegetarian Mousakka was simply fabulous. Both veggie and meat options are top class. Desert and mint tea also excellent.

Visited as a group of four and asked the restaurant to select dishes for us up to the value of £15 per person. The quality, choice and selection of food was amazing! The fresh bread was fantastic, as were the smoked aubergine dip and the haloumi pasties. We struggled to eat it all and the staff very kindly provided us... More

We went with friends we were visiting over New Year, and had a very enjoyable and tasty meal. We don't eat meat, and were pleased that there was a wide selection of vegetarian options. We ordered about 6 dishes between 4, and were pleasantly full, especially with the fresh bread that came with it. As others have mentioned, you can... More

Thoroughly enjoyed my food, we ordered quite a lot as there was 10 of us so props for that. it came out fairly quickly, and i was quite surprised by the low price at the end of the meal. However, in my opinion the actual floor staff themselves need to learn how to smile, and how to greet their customers... More

Great value food, take you own alcoholic drinks, friendly staff, good atmosphere. We ordered 3 mixed grill meat boards and few other side dishes to share between four of us. Plenty of food. Loved the flat bread and humous, loved the halloumi and a 'moussaka' style tapas dish. Potatoes VERY spicy, Lamb was good. Other meats and kebabs I would... More

I love this place. I've lived in Newcastle only for a couple of months, but this is already one of my favourite restaurants in town. I am food lover in terms of Lebanese cuisine, and Albaik restaurant provides proper traditional recipes at an affordable price. I've been for dinner with friends, and we were happy to acknowledge that customers are... More

We went to visit our son as he had graduated from Newcastle Uni. He wanted to show us the places that he had found and what a fantastic gem it is. Food is excellent. Value, for money, tasty and realistic. On the night that we were there, we saw students, couples and locals. There were people who looked middle eastern... More

Have been coming here since this place first opened, I loved the food it was so fresh and the staff were always very welcoming and would recognise you upon return. my last 2 visits have not been good at all, the staff are never the same and are quite rude and the quality of the food has gone right down,...
