What was called the Food Social is now Artisan .Brilliant food meat is outstanding especially the Sunday lunch roasts .Inventive wine list locally sourced food imaginatively presented and staff who really care about their work. Everything about this jewel on the Newcastle Eating Scene makes you want to return. It

This is now called the Artisan. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. The restaurant is based in the Biscuit Factory. The restaurant and Art Gallery are an absolute must to visit if you are staying in the area

This is a lovely interesting location and the art gallery is terrific. The restaurant is now called ARTISAN and there seems to be a problem on recognition. held a work event here for 12 people in aprivate dining area, the foor and service was fantastic, the food delicious and the sticky toffee pudding to die for, cant wait to go back

Food Social did NOT close as mentioned above, but just changed its name. As chef David Kennedy moved on to other things, Andrew Wilkinson, a young award winning chef took the helm. The service was attentive although one member of staff needs to be a bit more refined as she 'threw' the dessert cutlery onto the table and plonked the dessert plates more clumsily than a hippopotamus.
