Worth seeking out

Decided to visit after reading reviews on Trip Advisor and needing a break after a hard mornings shopping! You certainly need to know where you're looking for as the cafe is hidden in the basement of a gift shop. We were lucky as it was quiet when we arrived and got a seat straight away. The coffee shop is unique and quirky, despite being hidden. The tea was lovely, and the brownies were also very delicious, and recommend it to all those who visit. Will be going again soon, and excited to try the food they serve, and already recommended it to all of my friends and family!

Difficult to find but worth the effort. Its a really interesting little coffee shop and eatery hidden in the basement of a small shop. Food was of a high standard and fresh. Interesting range of coffee available - I recall a sign saying voted the best coffee in Newcastle. Would not argue with that. Fantastic selection of guest coffees. Check... More

Off the main Northumberland Street plaza, a cosy coffee shop downstairs with wi fi and a gift shop upstairs . Lovely coffee, pleasant staff. Empty at 2.00pm when we arrived but filled up around us as we drank our coffee. Pleasant place to relax and wind down. Serves light meals and cakes and scones at reasonable prices.

Me and my friends were visiting Newcastle for the weekend and had read about this coffee shop online! We heard it had one of the best hot chocolates in the UK, so were keen to test this! One friend and I were also after a caffeine fix and so opted for a mocha, and it didn't disappoint! The milk chocolate... More

What a wonderful place! Can't believe I didn't know it was there!! This coffee shop is hidden away downstairs in a 'new age' gift shop. It is absolutely worth seeking it out. Apparently the coffee is award winning (I can't offer an opinion on that as I'm almost exclusively a tea drinker). There is a great sandwich/toasties and snacks menu... More

best coffee in newcastle. haven't eaten anything so can't rate the food but really cosy vibe albeit a bit of a bizarre location. just adds to the quirk though.

This place is in the cellar to a holistic and tarot shop. It is not easy to find and not signposted. I had high expectations of this place as it has so many high reviews - but I honestly think they must be friends and family as this place is grotty, dark, in need of repairs and the staff were... Hi Nikki, firstly sorry for taking so long to reply to this, I don't actually read reviews often as I take anything remotely negative too close to heart and worry about it a lot, in this case however I am glad I have read your review. I need to apologise again for the poor show we put on for your... More

The coffee is simply great, whatever you go for, but the soups such as sweet potato, coconut and chili are also excellent, nice sandwiches and brownies too. Small dark and hard to find, but worth it.
