Excellent meal at this buzzy restaurant, best to book for a Saturday evening. Attentive service and a good menu to choose from. As a party of four we share and it was all tasty however the Bhel Puri Puffed rice, Dabbawal Grill and Hari Ali Tiger Prawns I loved. It was so good we tried the sister restaurant the following... Had the most incredible meal here on Saturday night, very busy, but the service was good and very friendly, could not fault the food, I had the railway lamb, just WOW!

We ordered take away meals by 8pm last saturday evening and they were ready by 830pm! Very well impressed considering it was full and indeed very busy. The food was delicious, best Indian I've had! My only criticism, the portion could have been bit more.... Definitely We are return customer!

Newcastle packed on a Saturday evening after the match (hammered again unfortunately), everywhere full, busy and noisy. Meeting friends the Dabbawal had the six of us booked in for 8:00 but helpfully found a table for us at 7:30; great atmosphere in Dabbawal but calm away from the crowded street. Food and service reliably good, unrushed and able to see... More

Three words. Go there now. This restaurant is without doubt the business! The food is beyond delicious, the service impeccable and the bill was very reasonable for the quality of food we received! Funky, fresh and vibrant. Will definitely be returning!

Went to Dabbawal again for a birthday celebration service was excellent, staff were friendly but above all the food was amazing, everything taste so nice, cooked to perfection. We had a variety of dishes but my favourite was the Railway lamb curry. Thank you Dabbawal for making our evening special.

Went out for my birthday lunch. Really enjoyed it. Cosy, nicely decorated. Really good food. One of the waiters was having an argument with another waitress which was slightly annoying as we could hear it all, wasn't professional at all. Other than that, a really good restaurant. I would go back.
