We visited this restaurant as a small party of 3. We had booked, as our meal was on a weekend evening. Despite this, we still had to queue for 20 minutes beyond our booking time, queuing outside and in a narrow doorway. The staff seemed to go out of their way to avoid making eye contact to keep us up... More

Dabbawal is pioneering Indian street food. There were some high points in what we ordered - the okra pakora starter was excellent - but for the most part the food was pedestrian in quality. Onion bhaji and a potato starter were too dry, as was the vegetarian kofta (although the sauce was good and nicely spiced). The naan bread was... More

I have to make a premise: I personally do not like Indian cuisine, what i dislike is extremely spicy dishes where you can't feel the taste of the food. I was invited to this restaurant by two friends of mine who read tripadvisor's reviews, which are very complimentary of this restaurant. The two of us spent only 26 £ (excluding... More

As my title describes this restaurant is "pleasant" and no more. The food was satisfactory, the service was as one would expect and the atmosphere was neither here nor there.

What a surprise! What seems like a little hole in the wall, is actually a large, well set out, amazing restaurant. The theme is kind of Indian street food, casual dining where the food comes out as it is ready. I loved it. For once it wasn't the "pakora starter and madras main" but a whole selection of authentic delicacies.... More

This was classed as Indian street food. I would more associate it with Indian Tapas. Delicious small elements that you pull together to make your meal. Bell Peur I think it was called was delicious and a must with any meal. We tried multiple starters with naan's etc. with a few meaty dishes. The punjabi lollipop was great, but to... More

Chicken so tender it melts in your mouth. Best king prawns I have had in the world and I have travelled a lot. Reasonable priced wine. Excellent service and lovely lively atmosphere. New best place for me to eat with my friends. The staff are so lovely and friendly.

My previous visit was at a lunchtime and found the food very good and saw on the evening menu the 'chefs surprise menu'. Their description of a ' stunning combination street food classics' etc was exactly what we got, all the different parts of the menu came together superbly each complimenting others and many very different from the 'normal' indian...
