Good return visit

We really enjoyed this restaurant last year and were looking forward to returning. It was right in the middle of Graduation time so we booked a table and were glad we had. We just had poppadoms and dips to start, they were delicious. I had lamb rogan josh and my husband had the Bengali chicken... read more

My wife and I visited on a Saturday evening.it was my first visit so I wasn't sure what to expect .we had to book and from his busy the place was I'd say it's essential for a Saturday evening.parking around that part of town is shocking as well. Furnishings are a little on the basic side but it's clean and... More

We tried dabbawal on the night before my brothers graduation. We luckily booked beforehand as the restaurant was full and people were even waiting 10 minutes for a spare table, which really surprised me for a Wednesday night! The food was magnificent. The best Indian I have ever had. I had the chicken tikka masala with a garlic naan and... More

When it comes to dining in a restaurant, there is far more to the experience than good food; Nowhere is this more self evident than in the night you can experience at Dabbawal. The food provided was of a good quality, I cannot fault them on making an ok indian dish which hasa good taste. However it lacked any real... More

We had a super meal, the food was fantastic, with lots of flavour and very tender. Service very friendly. I liked the menue which also offered some different options to your "normal" curry.

I feel like Dabbawal is one of those places that's better in my head than in real life. I always think "Oh yeah, that place is great," but then when I go I'm a bit underwhelmed. Can you ever just be whelmed? My friend and I went the other day and had two big glasses of wine, and waited about... More

This restaurant is a must to try, a bit different to the usual Indian food, we had a selection of tapas style food for starter followed by salmon dish ( I cant remember what it was called) but again very nice. The service was excellent very attentive but not intrusive. Very reasonable prices for what we had, we also chose... More

13 of us went on a staff night out on a Friday night and ate here at 6:00pm for the early special - well worth it, food really good - we all had great meals, staff really friendly and proficient. Would recommend.

Food very tasty and this restaurant allows you to try different flavours with a tapas style menu. We usually eat through the day so it is usually quiet, however Thursday is 'curry night' and a large party were booked in at lunch time which made the restaurant instantly busy, and very loud, so be aware of that. Would highly recommend.
