Very good

Been a few times and this was the best. They seem to have stepped up to the plate on service and presentation. This is just what was needed as the food has always been top class. The first choice for a curry in Newcastle.

A very busy place that can cope with customers, bustling and buzzing with atmosphere with sizzling dishes and their aromas tempting the taste buds. Highly recommended but expect to pay a little more than average.

A charming little restaurant tucked away in High Bridge, just off the main thoroughfare of Grey Street, welcoming atmosphere and lots of cosy little corners to tuck yourself away in, whether you're with a group of friends or as a couple. Prompt, efficient and friendly service, and the delicious 'street food' is tasty and well presented enough to grace any... More

There were seven of us who just managed to get booked in on a Saturday evening, all be it an early 5.30pm, the only available slot till 11.00pm! That gives you an idea of the popularity of the place. Light, crispy Poppadums arrived with a selection of dips to keep us going before the mains. I had ordered Railway lamb... More

Colleagues recommended this Asian restaurant as a must go to and I now understand why. When we arrived on a Tuesday evening we were welcomed by 1 host and 3 waitresses. We ordered poppadoms and a selection of sauces. Our drinks came quickly after that and they took our orders, which came before we had finished our poppadoms. We all... More

Visited with a group during Restaurant week, only to find our organiser had forgotten to mention we wanted Restaurant week deal!! However the staff went out of their way to ensure those who wanted to could still have this deal. The service was excellent, food delicious, something for everyone, even the fusspots in the party!! This was my second visit... More

Recommended by many friends, we finally visited on a busy Saturday night (pre-booked). We couldn't decide from the range of delicious dishes on offer so went for the chef surprise, informing our waiter that I wasn't so keen on salmon and neither of us liked okra. First came the popadoms and pickle selection. Lovely. Then a fabulous chick pea and... More

Have been twice to this wonderful restaurant once on an evening and once at lunchtime both were excellent. There is a bigger selection on an evening and our party choose the 'tapas type' menu when you all have a selection of mixed dishes chosen for you, although the waiter does discuss your likes and dislikes prior - this was an... Me and my husband visited for the first time last week. We tried food from the tapas menu; chicken shashlik, punjabi chilli chicken, citrus king prawns, chicken lollipops, masala chips and naan bread. All of the food was perfectly cooked and very flavoursome! The food arrived as it was cooked so it was fresh and we really enjoyed it. A... More
