Often used to pop in with a friend who had an office close by, food always reasonably priced and always to a really good standard. If the decor was more up,to date it would be a little diamond but.....! Perhaps the prices would go higher too. So good honest Italian food.

Wow, what can I say. Sapori isn't the most glamorous cafe you'll ever go in but the food is really, really something! A friendly owner took our order and brought our food out quickly. I can't believe how cheap it was considering the portion size and quality of the ingredients. We asked to take desert home with us, the was... More

Having seen that this cafe is ranked so highly on trip advisor my friend and I decided to visit for lunch today. The exterior and interior is admittedly, initially slightly off putting, however the food and service more than make up for this. There seems to be a good amount of choice on the menu, and we both opted for... More

Completely authentic perfectly presented and delicious Italian food, in a simple Geordie cafe. The Garlic bread was immaculate, the bruschetta perfect, the pasta beautifully al dente. The process are ridiculously low for food this good. Make a detour to come here, from Kent if necessary.

My wife and I have been going to this Italian Cafe/Restaurant for a few months now and we like it so much that we go more or less every week and have the same food every time. We turned up a few weeks ago and found that he had started his holiday and the place was closed! We ended up... More

Been going for years and never been disappointed yet... good selection of really tasty proper Italian grub and at such reasonable prices too, my personal favourite is the al forno and the tiramisu is just the best ever... grazie Lorenzo.

We popped in for lunch, having read previous TA reviews, we knew what to expect, a no frills, cheap and cheerful meal in a relaxed atmosphere. I ordered a chicken Kiev pizza with extra garlic, and a spaghetti carbonara. The pizza was really nice and very good value for money. The carbonara arrived with the wrong type of pasta, penne... Lorenzo puts his all into the food in this low key, friendly, authentic Italian cafe, My partner and I have been for many years and will continue to do so. We love the hearty cooked breakfast and a coffee before 11am for £4.95. Many times after work we will pop in for dinner, it's also BYOB which makes a fantastic... More

We heard nothing but raves about Sapori Cafe, and stopped in for lunch a few days ago to see whether the praise was well-deserved - and it was! Sapori is definitely tucked out of the way, but it is worth hunting down even if you need to drive to get there, plenty of parking nearby. There are but a few... More

This is a relaxed cafe with high quality authentic Italian food. The prices are low but at the same time the for peons are small. I thought my primavera pasta was good. If the restaurant owner is reading this, I would suggest the option of large portion sizes at a higher price. Also when I went there, I asked if... More
