This café is tired, old fashioned and unkempt, BUT this place is great for when you fancy something really, really good for lunch. We went off-spec one afternoon and it was great. Lots of choice and everything that came out looked spot on and what we were served by the friendly and accommodating owner was delicious. Portion sizes are big... More

Sapori's is not glamorous, it’s not high class, it does not pretend to be it’s just superb food brought to you by an attentive waitress or happy friendly owner. Having eaten here many times over the past few years I can say with hand on heart that I have never been disappointed in the slightest. I love the Goats cheese... More

I love a nice rustic place which doesn't look like much but then wows me with fantastic food. I thought that would be what Saporis would be like, based on the reviews. It's just a cheap plate of food, heated up to order but pre-cooked so that the pasta has gone soggy and the tomato sauce on my place was... More

Often used to pop in with a friend who had an office close by, food always reasonably priced and always to a really good standard. If the decor was more up,to date it would be a little diamond but.....! Perhaps the prices would go higher too. So good honest Italian food.

Wow, what can I say. Sapori isn't the most glamorous cafe you'll ever go in but the food is really, really something! A friendly owner took our order and brought our food out quickly. I can't believe how cheap it was considering the portion size and quality of the ingredients. We asked to take desert home with us, the was... More

Having seen that this cafe is ranked so highly on trip advisor my friend and I decided to visit for lunch today. The exterior and interior is admittedly, initially slightly off putting, however the food and service more than make up for this. There seems to be a good amount of choice on the menu, and we both opted for... More

Completely authentic perfectly presented and delicious Italian food, in a simple Geordie cafe. The Garlic bread was immaculate, the bruschetta perfect, the pasta beautifully al dente. The process are ridiculously low for food this good. Make a detour to come here, from Kent if necessary.

My wife and I have been going to this Italian Cafe/Restaurant for a few months now and we like it so much that we go more or less every week and have the same food every time. We turned up a few weeks ago and found that he had started his holiday and the place was closed! We ended up... More

Been going for years and never been disappointed yet... good selection of really tasty proper Italian grub and at such reasonable prices too, my personal favourite is the al forno and the tiramisu is just the best ever... grazie Lorenzo.

We popped in for lunch, having read previous TA reviews, we knew what to expect, a no frills, cheap and cheerful meal in a relaxed atmosphere. I ordered a chicken Kiev pizza with extra garlic, and a spaghetti carbonara. The pizza was really nice and very good value for money. The carbonara arrived with the wrong type of pasta, penne...
