Fantastic birthday meal!

My boyfriend and I were thrilled with our recent night out at Gusto on the Quayside. We started the night with a cocktail at the bar downstairs - staff really friendly and an extensive drinks menu. We were then shown to the BEST table in the house - upstairs, overlooking the Millennium Bridge. We... read more

Whether this is good or bad I let the reader decide. Gusto has nice food albeit with little soul. I ordered the truffle rissotto for mains and by God was it undercooked with grains refusing to be crunched. Some where ok, it seemed like a 2 batch job. The starters was just good a salmon tartare with an over poached... More

Came here about two weeks ago with three friends. The staff were amazing, they dealt with a diffucult member of my party really well and were really good to us. The steak me and my partner had was lovely and so juicy! the only thing i woud say is that you should get chips/potatos with the steak instead of having... More

Took my partner here for a meal on Friday here. The service was fantastic, our server (Billy I think he was called) was very attentive. There was a manager who kept checking everyone was okay; slightly excessive I think as it felt like he was there to make the waiters/waitresses look like they weren't doing their job properly but I... Very expensive for what you got. I ordered a steak and that's all I got on my plate, I then had to order chips as extra. My friend was lactose intolerant and she had to ask him 3 times if there was anything on the salad, he eventually took her order away and brought her a newplate with the same... More

I had booked a table in advance for outside with it being a bank holiday, I arrived to find no staff outside so I went inside and the staff completely ignored me and when i went up to them said they 'would be a minute' 15 minutes later I was seated after complaining about bad service (I would have walked... We have just returned from another short stay in Newcastle and I promised myself that I would definitely go back to Gusto. We booked ahead this time just to make sure we got a table. Again it was a lovely meal, well cooked, well presented and friendly staff and a terrific atmosphere. We will return.

Have visited this restaurant several times and have never failed to be impressed by the quality of the food. Last visited on Easter Monday when it was very busy but the service was still good. If you get a seat upstairs near the front the view is lovely too. I applied for one of their discount cards and got a... More

I have just walked out of this place in disgust. Our table was booked, days ago as a table upstairs by the window. We arrived on time, were shown to a tiny table in the corner in darkness. I left, spoke to the person on the desk who was very condescending and basically said other people had booked those tables.... More
