First visit to this restaurant; on a Sunday when we were disappointed to discover that Pitcher and Piano had finished serving food at 9.30. We had a delicious meal with excellent friendly service. When we discovered we had accidently been charged for something they had run out of they were very apologetic and generous. We will definitely be returning as... More

Have visited this restaurant several times and have always found the food, service and overall experience to be very good. Recently we have been for lunch time meals, our waiters have been attentive and friendly. We have the special lunch time menu, which for £10.95 for a large glass of wine and a main course is excellent value as the... More

Arrived late afternoon and as it was a sunny day sat outside. Clean tables with plenty of space between them and comfortable chairs. Service was just right, not too long or short between courses and the menu had plenty of choice. My friend wanted a pizza from the old menu and they were happy to make this. Pasta portions look... Took a while to get round to writing this review, but I visited here one Saturday night in early August as a special treat for my mum. Booked a table for 6.30ish (can't remember exact time). We arrived 20 minutes early and were seated straight away at a tiny table for two right by the kitchen. Not very impressed by... More

We've always enjoyed eating in gusto Newcastle when we travel up for the great north run. Today the food was delicious fresh and flavourful as usual . The service was what made the meal extra special. We were waited on by 3 different waiters all of whom were attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Some of the best restaurant service... As the Quayside set forth its biggest event since the Millenium celebrations, with stars from across the cultural spectrum we had the misfortune to rely on a once Quayside favourite to supply us with a Set Menu and Tickets to the Gold VIP section of the Bupa Great North Run Million runner event on Thursday 4 September. Having had no... More
