As if the Gateshead Millennium Bridge and the Baltic Art Gallery weren't enough reason to visit Newcastle's Quayside, there is also Gusto. Make the most of those sunshine days on the beautiful terrace, and when the evening (or the clouds) draw in, step inside the large, lively bar - with a superb choice of wines and cocktails. Add a 200-year-old olive tree, sprinkled in fairy lights, and Gusto Newcastle makes any day magical.

Excellent restaurant on Quayside

Menu was a little bit limited but food was great, both good size portions and extremely tasty. Nice table staff friendly and professional. Would recommend and will return

The atmosphere in Gusto is great and it's in a really good location. There's a lot of choice on the menu and the food was delicious! Would definitely go again.

Nice staff who don't seem to be properly trained in the basics. But the food is poor. Restaurants that allege to be Italian should know what Al Dente means. I've had better in a Youth Hostel. And the location isn't all it's cracked up to be because the Pitcher and Piano blocks out what would be a good Tyne view,... More

Myself and my friends were at Gustos Newcastle last night for a meal. It was amazing. The staff are the best staff, happy, polite and attentative and nothing a problem. The food was amazing and even got a lovely desert with Happy Retirement piped around the edging of the plate which was an added touch. Lovely surroundings. Please give this... More

Visited with my wife on a Friday evening. The location of the restaurant is great and we had a nice view of the quayside from our table on the second floor. The food was of a reasonable quality - houmous starter was a little bland but the pasta main dishes and brownie dessert were very nice. Overall we had a... More

visited here on a very busy Sunday afternoon with friends and their 2 young children as they wanted to see what we are always raving about. The food was spot on especially the pizzas and the service was friendly and personable without being over bearing. The kids loved making their own pizzas complete with a chefs hat, great photo opportunity!.... More

We visited on a sunny Sunday afternoon and whilst the decor is nice it could do with updating and a good clean, there were cobwebs all around our table and above us and lots of flies! The starters took an hour to arrive and the kids chose a make your own pizza which took another 1/2 an hour, when it... More

Lovely food. Great location. Reasonably priced for the quality. Excellent service with a warm welcome. Need I say more? If you're on the Quayside and peckish try it out.

My son took me here for Mothers Day. I'd never been before so I trusted my son's judgement that it would be good. Lovely decor on entering the restaurant, friendly attentive staff and fabulous food. I had the prawns in a tomato sauce as a starter followed by baked sea bass with creamy mash. The bombalini dessert was amazing. It... More

Arrived here dinner time was greeted by friendly staff. Menu was a little bit limited not a great choice on there but what we did have was very tasty. One of the waiters lacked total customer service asking us "you done with that " referring to our empty plates that were piled up ready to be collected. Service from the... More
