Whenever I visit this restaurant the food is always delicious and well presented. They offer an excellent early bird special too. If you love crumble this is the place to order it! It's a shame to hear administrators have stepped in.

We have enjoyed many excellent lunches here over the years and were extremely sorry to hear Pan Haggerty closed a couple of weeks ago. Can only assume that the recent poor reviews were immediately prior to closure. It is a sad reflection on how difficult the restaurant business can be when a normally great place like this needs to close!... More

We got the impression of a closing business on the Saturday night we dined here - on arrival we were told that they couldn't accept credit card (a problem with the machine apparently - didn't believe that story!); with no advanced notice of this we had to adapt our menu choices to the cash we had on us! The food... More

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch hear as usual, my Red Snapper starter was the most beautiful fish dish I had ever tasted, it was so gorgeous, it was certainly compliments to the chef..... My husband had the Black pudding he loved his dish too, this was followed by Roast Belly of Pork cooked to perfection crispy crackling and juicy... More

Turned up for a booking confirmed 28 February 14 for 1st march to find the place closed and out of business ! What kind of people allow their customers to be treated like this! Please take your site down, so others can,t book meals to a non existent business. We were lucky that sabatinis restaurat took us in at short... More

Had heard good things..... and been there a couple of years ago, but wouldn't repeat the experience. We went on a Friday evening for an anniversary meal. The menu was uninspiring, the pan haggerty starter was dense and tasteless. This was followed by very average steaks with what tasted like shop bought sauce. Not inedible, but couldn't recommend this restaurant... More

Ate here in restaurant week, found the menu a little light and obviously geared towards the price confit chicken leg, mince and dumplings. Had to order a side dish of mash !!

Our first visit to Pan Haggerty was a delicious experience!! It is located just beside the Quayside near the Tyne Bridge in Queen Street! We had gift vouchers for 3 course Sunday lunch! There was quite a varied choice for starters & main course, we both chose the Sirloin beef with horseradish sauce which was cooked to perfection as were... More

Have heard really good things about this place and was thinking of taking my Mother there when she visits next week. The menu is very confusing at lunchtime though as two virtually identical menus appear to exist but with very different prices against them. I have e-mailed the restaurant twice to try and glean what this is about but they have... More
