I have loved this restaurant from it first opening and have visited on countless occasions, went back recently and have to say I was disappointed, the menu appears to have been reduced, and when we ordered vietnamese coffee we were told sorry we have just run out until tomorrow, the server then walked away with no suggestion of an alternative.... Went here with a few friends to this restaurant for supper, and it was very pleasant. Tasty & spicy food, quickly served, and for a good price.

I'm the chef at one of Newcastles finest upmarket restaurants and iv eaten in some of the UK s best but this little oasis situated in the worst part of town is top notch. The food is honest and true. All the ingredients are fresh and treated with respect. The spring rolls are literally my favourite thing ever to eat.... More

So the Bigg Market might not be everyone's favourite spot in Newcastle on a night out, but it's worth a look to try this place. Had never thought of Vietnamese food, but tried this place on a friend's recommendation. Really glad I did as the food, service JD value were top notch. Give it a try!

Visited this restaurant for the first time. After a trip to Vietnam last year, we fancied reliving the memory. Went in for lunch. No one else in at 1.30pm - should have been a warning! Beer and a coke (totally flat) as we read the menu. Veg spring rolls and seafood platter to start. Very nice! Ginger chicken and beef... More

The food choice at Little Saigon is extremely varied and is sure to offer something for most. I opted for the caramelised pork. Although a nice and good quality dish, it was slightly peppery and a bit bland for my taste. The staff were polite and friendly. I would definitely return and try some of the other dishes that looked... More

Came across this restaurant by chance but it was everything we wanted. From the special we got a starter and a main for £10. I had chicken satay to start and lemongrass chicken for main, my partner had konkol beef and caramel pork. All were delicious, with fresh, subtle flavours that were delicious but not overpowering. Attentive staff and a... More

visited as a couple and my hubby had noodles, which were lovely: hot and tasty. My monkfish was good but I was surprised by the lack of sauce. Good atmosphere - the staff were attentive, but not over the top. Overall a really good experience.

We went as a group of friends for restaurant week in newcastle. The restaurant itself is large and spacious with a beautiful mural. The staff were friendly and efficient and the menu offered a wide variety of choice. The food is served traditionally with chopsticks, banana leaves and individual pots with various accompaniments which makes the experience feel authentic. The... More
