Wonderful fixed price menu

We're regulars here, but recently realised we had not been for a while. We tried the fixed price menu after a recommendation - it was fabulous! Excellent value, superbly cooked and presented food, friendly staff and good value wine list. I had the cheese souffle, which was perfect, the pan fried... read more

Went there this evening. Taken by my lovely wife for my 60th birthday! When we arrived we were greeted by very pleasant staff. Ushered to a table and sat side by side! There was a band on so it was so that we could both see the stage. Black Sheep by the bottle - great start! Bottle of house white... More

Hi Richard, Thank you for taking the time to review The Cherry Tree - I'm grateful for the positive comments, though I'd want to assure you that at least 3 king prawns go into preparing that starter (I'd hate to think that anyone left us feeling short changed). Admittedly it is not the biggest starter we serve but I'd hope... More

Friendly greeting and staff. Set Sunday lunch, priced for 2 courses or 3 courses. Good selection including 3 roasts, 2 fish dishes and a vegetarian alternative. Mains arrived with sides of fresh vegetables at no extra charge. Only slight gripe charged extra for bread. Nice atmosphere. We will return.

Very cheap food. Delicious tasting and huge portions. Went on a Friday night and only had to wait a few minutes for a table. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Exceptional food, exceptional service, and excellent value for money! I had a meal here with 14 business associates during April 2015, all along the service has been excellent, from booking to the evening. We used the private dining room which did not cost any extra, the 3 course meal was of a very high quality, the service from absolutely everyone... More

Very attentive service. Classic Gasto Pub dishes : Glazed beef short rib, Rack of lamb, with some other more interesting dishes such as Roast pigeon breast, game sausage, fondant potato, baby gem, pea veloute. Thought the mark up on the wine list was a little steep (Sauvignon Blanc, Stoneburn at £28.00)
