I have dined here many times for both lunch and dinner, and I can honestly say I am never disappointed. On a lunch time the fixed price menu is available and is always beautiful. There is so much to choose from. On my last visit I enjoyed salmon gravlax to start and then the belly Pork as my main.they were... More

Relaxed late Sunday Lunch, great 2 course offer, top quality roast beef, served with beautiful selection of veg (me being greedy I could have ate a few more roasties Ha Ha) Pleased I did not have more roasties as I had room for a beautiful Carrot & Orange cake to end a really nice afternoon. A great choice for a... More

Highly recommend The Cherry Tree, the new menu was fantastic, the staff are great and the private room for special occasions is prefect for a group. If you haven't been before, you must make the effort to go!

Four of us dined at the Cherry Tree on Saturday evening 13th June. We were able to have a drink first, before having our coats taken, and been shown to the table. We had been able to chose our fare whilst having a drink, and on sitting down, our starters were waiting for us.The four starters chosen were: Soup of... More

Smart interior, some outdoor seating also. Nice wine list, although they don't know how to make a vodka martini, literally, you can't have one!!!talented kitchen staff all three courses sensational. Front of house ok.

On Sunday the only menu is the Sunday Roast Menu. Not a problem other than it was mostly red meat. What about chicken or turkey for those not into red meat? However all food was well cooked. Served with separate dishes of fresh vegetables. Service was good and enjoyed it. I would suggest booking a table as the restaurant, as... More

Went there this evening. Taken by my lovely wife for my 60th birthday! When we arrived we were greeted by very pleasant staff. Ushered to a table and sat side by side! There was a band on so it was so that we could both see the stage. Black Sheep by the bottle - great start! Bottle of house white... More

Hi Richard, Thank you for taking the time to review The Cherry Tree - I'm grateful for the positive comments, though I'd want to assure you that at least 3 king prawns go into preparing that starter (I'd hate to think that anyone left us feeling short changed). Admittedly it is not the biggest starter we serve but I'd hope... More

We're regulars here, but recently realised we had not been for a while. We tried the fixed price menu after a recommendation - it was fabulous! Excellent value, superbly cooked and presented food, friendly staff and good value wine list. I had the cheese souffle, which was perfect, the pan fried coley (beautifully cooked with delicious accompaniments) and the banana... More
