Went for a quick sunny Saturday drink with a friend and we sat on the first floor terrace. Seemed most everyone else thought it was a good place to come and have a cigarette and as an ex-smoker i loathe the smell of cigarettes so that wasn't great. Otherwise my Fish-finger sandwich was quite nice and the London Pride could... More

This is a lovely little pub situated on the river. This pub is certainly for people over 25 and has a great atmosphere for sitting with friends and having a pint. The food was average, nothing special. Again, great spot for going with friends to have a drink.

My daughter and I had lunch here. We opted for chicken tarragon sandwiches. The sandwiches were large, fresh, and packed with delicious filling. They were served with the best french fries, I have had in ages. Plus a bottle of wine. Eaten, in sunshine, on the terrace, by the river. Heaven.

Haven't been to the White House in the evening for a while. We went on Sunday 29th June before going to the cinema, about 7pm It was really quiet and they were out of some menu items but one of the staff advised which ones so we didn't have those. We ordered a Halloumi Burger and the Feta and Rosemary... More

Visited with a friend at 2pm on Sunday 29th June. It was fairly busy and we chose a table which was being cleared. The waitress cleared the table but left the melted ice cream and squashed peas on the table. When I asked politely if she could wipe the table all I got was a glare and a roll of... More

When in Guildford this is the pub my wife and I most commonly gravitate to. It has a great location beside the River Wey and near the Old Town Bridge. It servers Fullers ales, a definite plus in my book. We've had a variety of the meals including: Somerset Brie and Red Onion Tart, fish and chips, the Goat's Cheese,... More

We visited today for lunch and were really disappointed. Our first two choices (roast beef and fish & chips. Both popular dishes) were sold out by 2pm, so we ended up having ravioli and the southern fried chicken burger. My partner's ravioli was "not that nice". The chicken burger was nothing short of disgusting. You don't expect much from a... More

The White House is a lovely pub, especially in the summer and warmer weather. The food is traditional pub food; sunday roast, fish and chips, burgers etc and are all adequate portion sizes and reasonably priced. The food is good quality, one of the best places I've eaten in Guildford. The pub is in a lovely location and is perfect... More

Went here with a group of friends a few weekends ago. As it was a sunny day was very busy. I had booked a table expecting this to find we were shoved in a corner without any view. Managed to get a seat outside which was very nice but food took ages to come. Fish good but chips practically burnt... More

Nice hidden pub, stumbled upon this pub by chance. Very nice interiors. We initially wanted drinks but when we realised they had a good menu we asked to be seated only to be asked if we had booked a table even though it was not busy at all. We then waited ten minutes to be seated then the waitresses took... More
