Following a surprisingly good meal here a few months ago we returned. I ordered scallops and fillet steak - very rare. "We can do it blue" said the waitress, "No - rare is fine" i replied. My scallop starter contained at best 1 1/2 scallops, quite insufficient. My steak was medium and bloodless, the chips it came with unpleasant. When... More

You need to book early at this fabulous restaurant. Ste in a lovely location near the village green. Great menu choice and good vegetarian risotto Lovely choice of desserts I had the homemade brownie with nuts (warmed) and icecream .London Pride goes down well with hubby All well presented and served with a smile.

Set in a rural location and just off the village green this is a charming old building which inside blend the old and the new very well. The service at the pub(well restaurant really) was very good and friendly as was the atmosphere. That written I am not sure what the atmosphere would be like when full as this pub... More

Book this one early for Sunday lunch as it is very popular as well as being very good value. The Sunday roasts are really good and the Yorkshire puddings are enormous. Along with this they also stock Kozel beer at the bar (a shame they don't have the dark Kozel too!). Service is pretty good too even when they are... More

We had a lovely meal out for my mums 60th. Good food, was plentiful and delicious. Children's menus were good too. Look forward to a return visit. Will be highly recommending this place to friends.

My wife and I live within walking distance of this fantastic pub and my parents are only a short drive away. As such we quite often pop down for Sunday lunch or a couple of drinks after work. Five of us headed down there this Sunday for a spot of lunch and as always were not disappointed. We booked a... More

Visited on a Saturday, the white hart was very busy, with a particularly large birthday group arriving just before us.. Service & the food arrival was a little slow but to be fair with the situation the staff were under with so many arriving at once & us ordering just after the large party had ordered was understandable.. We were... More

Five of us went here for lunch - I've been here before, and knew it was good. I wasn't disappointed. Sadly, we only had time for one course, but what a course! Two of us had the chicken, which must have been the tastiest chicken dish I've ever had. Succulent, with crispy skin, it was doused in a delicious Gorgonzola... More

Just visited here with my partner after recommendations from many including him. We enjoyed the seafood platter to start which came perfectly proportioned for two, beautiful smoked salmon, accompanied with lovely crusty brown bread. Would be nice to maybe include some king prawns with this dish but as I discovered when I got my main of swordfish which should come... More
