Went for Sunday lunch here with my family and had a very good meal indeed. There were 8 in our party and I am pleased we had booked or we would not have got a table as the place was very busy. This is a realold world gem with none of the pretentions of a gastro pub. The bar is... More

The beer was good and lager. The atmosphere was typical of an olde world pub, not a gastro pub! The food was tasty and plenty of it for the price. Would return but not always in the area.

Roast Pork and all the trimmings, freshly prepared, loads of gravy, 3 veges and just delicious. Most probably the healthiest meal I have had in a long time. Service always great and such a cosy little pub still fighting the odds and being a traditional Olde Worlde English Pub. Please don't ever change !

An old coaching inn at Clandon. Always get taken there when visiting Surrey. It's a very pleasant place to sit & chat with friends. Drinks from the bar right beside eating area, food most enjoyable. I love the steak & ale pie & always something nice for dessert. Recommended..

VEGETARIAN DISHES -- these were the only ones missing from a very interesting menu, and would be appreciated. We have been there twice recently -- the first reluctantly because the last visit some years ago was a disaster, the second time because we found the first so good, and we shall be going again. Old pub atmosphere, wonderful home-cooked pies... More

Such a cozy friendly and welcoming pub with a delightful choice of home cooked meals and of a very high standard. My all time favourite is still the steak and kidney pie - tops !!

From the outside, and from some of the reviews on here, you might think that the Bulls Head was a quaint English pub staffed by cheery bar staff and a welcoming landlord. Wrong on all counts. I do not go to pubs purely for their atmosphere, but this was quite possibly the quietest pub I have ever been to in... More

Village pub well presented with quaint interior with excellent service This pub is well worth a visit. We had lunch which consisted of one steak and kidney pie and one of brisket main meals. Both were ample in proportion and very good on taste. To finish we had rhubarb and apple crumble between two which was also good value.

Still the quaintest old English Pub with the best home cooked food, freshly prepared and piles of it. Money well spent and the steak and kidney pie is the best I have ever tasted and reminds me of my childhood. Please don't ever change how you look or the menu !

The roast I had on Sunday was very poor quality and especially disappointing compared to previous food reviews. The beef was so thin, bore no resemblance to any meat which could have come from a joint of beef and was tasteless. I don't think I have ever had vegetables (carrot and cauliflower) which have been so over-cooked such that they... More
