My 2nd visit to this great pub and restaurant with my partner. Previously visited with work colleagues and had an equally fantastic experience. We had three courses starting with the pork belly complete with crackling and apple puree which just melted in your mouth. We both had rare steaks for main which were cooked to perfection and we polished things... More

It's been my local since I moved to Guildford. Great food, great atmosphere. They have couple of local Surrey beers. Service is always friendly.

Good traditional english food, a little bit expensive but still OK, and good atmosphere. It is a pity that english gastronomy do not offer any more,

Went there last week with a friend who recommended the food. It was indeed really tasty, however the staff were quite annoying and kept bumping into my chair all the time without apologizing. Also don't appreciate being called a "girl" when I'm a 30 year old woman.

We ate here during the evening of thursday 7 august for a family celebration & had a table for 9 people. The place was packed & there were some very upmarket cars in the car park. I had the smoked salmon starter & it was the best smoked salmon i'd had for ages, delicious. Service was attentive but not intrusive.... More

My husband and I found ourselves in Guildford needing a good place to have Sunday lunch and this place did not disappoint. I had one of their specials - baked cod with an olive crust over mashed potatoes with a lovely, subtle sauce and capers. My husband when for the more traditional sausage and mash, and the gravy was divine!... More
