The cream of Guildford pubs. You'll find The Drummond just outside Guildford Cricket Club, but you won't find another like it. There's always something good on, even if it's just in the culinary sense, so park yourself on one of our old-school bar stools and indulge in a plate of superb seasonal pub food, which you can see being freshly prepared in our open kitchen. Plus we've got more wines, spirits and speciality beers than you can shake a wicket keeper at. Put it this way, we know our Pilsner from our Peroni.

Battered hake I wish I could make!. Yorkshire pud, not so gud.

First impressions not very busy for a Sunday lunchtime, nice open layout. Good choice of beers. Had a Guinness, very nice. We ordered our starters and mains. A few minutes later a member of staff returned to say no sea bass because chef was not happy with the fresh delivery, which is fair enough... read more

SEVERE stomach pain, writhing/shouting yesterday eve = nausea, aching, extended loo trips - as a result of their Sunday Roast (chicken). My family had undercooked/inedible lunches, including bad/black veg. Three meals taken off our bill. Abrupt/poor service. Fellow diners walked out leaving their food (even after first meal taken back due to undercooked chicken). Ripped seats. Wobbly, sticky tables. At... More

meal was luke warm and would have liked a few more vegetables on our plates, the meat (beef) was lovely. My daughters nut roast was burnt, It was taken away only to be brought back as this was the last one ( our table was booked for 1.30 pm) we had a long wait before any food was brought out.... More

I've been here a few times because my son lives close nearby. Always for lunch so I can't vouch for the evening trade, but lunchtime has always been a really good experience. the pork dishes are to die for and the other dishes I've had have been well cooked and presented. If in Guilford, come for lunch.

We had a pre Christmas family meal here. I had a steak which was was well cooked and really nice but we found that some of our meals were good and others not so good. The interior was tired and the seat cushions were stained and filthy. The greeting wasn't that warm and the service wasn't particularly great. As a... More

Only eaten here once, but visit regularly for a drink, it is a very pleasant local! Staff are friendly, kids are allowed, there is always a good choice of quality beer and it attracts a nice MIXED crowd of customers.

Rubbish food rotten potatoes, needed a hammer and chisel to get into the cauliflower, more fat than meat on the beef. We didn't eat our meals and put in complaint. We where offered free pudding or free drink no money back offer even though we didn't eat the food. Emailed the manager who was very sorry and offered us a... More

We checked beforehand to see if they had parking (no mention on website). There is some, but only a few spaces, and a lot of manoeuvering is required. Some of the staff were indifferent to our presence and/or seemed a little inexperienced, when I tried to order some food I was given a completely blank look! The food was good... More

An unpretentious establishment with pleasant staff, no-nonsense food, a reasonable section of ales and the odd good bottle of wine. It's just outside the town centre so whilst busy isn't usually troubled by an influx of undesirables. The fayre is burgers & pizzas etc but it's bit the sort of place you'd go on a romantic date night of for... More
