Description: The Pilgrim Pub is situated on the outskirts of Dorking Town right next to Dorking West Station. This pub sells real ale with a choise and the food is outstanding with the roast lambs on Sundays plus the homemade desserts! The staff here are always friendly and always greet you with a warm welcomeBooking is advised at all times as with a small resturant it gets busy quickly.

We recently spent an evening with family at the Pilgrim, what can I say it was perfect from start to finish, service happy and attentive and FOOD to die for, I will never eat lamb again unless I am at the Pilgrim .............It was moutwateringly delicious, tasty tender and succulent, hubbies scampi and chips hot and perfectly cooked, 6 people... A proper local pub with extremely friendly staff and customers. Food was excellent quality (and featured delicious fresh runner beans from the garden) and reasonably priced. There is also a good selection of ale on tap. The best thing about this pub though was its welcoming atmosphere. The customers were all very friendly, including Ralph the dog. The landlord went... The Pilgrim, being our local, is our default 'can't be bothered to cook on a Friday night' destination. It never disappoints. They are very welcoming, look after us well, and serve well-prepared, tasty and hearty food that's a few notches above the norm these days. Last Friday was no exception. My lamb chop was generous and beautifully cooked, and my... More

One of the last remaining proper Pubs in the land. Walk in to a warm welcome, good beer and brilliant food. You would be mad not to visit if you are in the area.

My wife and I were recommended by locals to have Sunday lunch in The Pilgrim. It was excellent, I had the roast shank of lamb and my wife had the roast beef. Both were way above our expectations. The accompanying potatoes and vegetables were cooked to perfection. I returned several times over the next three weeks and had some of... More

Country style pub on the outskirts of Dorking, about 5 minutes walk from Dorking West station. Nice suburbia on one side, but a few industrial areas on the other. Visited on a weekday lunchtime, and pretty empty apart from a couple of groups of ladies doing lunch. One wing of the pub was set up for dining so my pal... More

Popped in to this pub to sample the food. Friendly service. We ate in a marquee in the garden, which was a lovely change. No children's menu as such but they were happy to reduce adult meals. Husband very happy with his man size ham, egg and chips. My lasagne was bubbling (always a good sign) and was full of... More

After walking the 15 mile Thames Down trail and sampling the beers at Surrey Hills Brewery we descended on Dorking at about 6pm hot and hungry, looking forward to some decent pub grub and a few more beers, Knowing that pubs that do food on a Saturday night are a still a rare beast we did a small detour to... It was a pleasant experience to find a "real pub". There are too many 'poncey' restaurants in this area, so to find this gem was a 'back to basics'. A shared ownership - John does 'front of house' and Richard does 'the cooking'. Good real ales; great bar meals; an excellent specials menu. Good hearty fare served by pleasant staff.... More
