Description: Nestled amongst the antique shops in the artsy end of Dorking, Surrey, Two to Four is an exciting space that is on every local gourmands speed dial. Named after its street address, 2-4 West Street, this bright and modern restaurant – which is run by local restaurateur Paul Montalto - is spread out over three floors in a charming old whitewashed building, and the intimate ambience is ideal for romantic tables à deux and intimate dinner parties. Head Chef Rob Gathercole has created a robust modern Euro menu, and signature dishes include the slow-roasted pork belly with confit onions; coconut risotto; and the roasted scallops with cauliflower and raisin puree.

Very pleasant restaurant in the centre of Dorking. The food was a little slow in coming but it was well worth waiting for. We both went for the two-course fixed price menu and found that the food was excellent and pretty good value (the break was really good). The wine list was good and affordable too and we were impressed... More

Visited whilst on business in the area. Great cooking and well presented - service really good but maybe slightly less personal than other places I've been. Maybe more awkward as I was solo though! Lovely beef fillet. On the expensive side but maybe that's a product of being near London. Thanks

Good menu, pleasant service and we really enjoyed the food. Most of us had scallops and steak but i had hake and it was all good. We were the first ones in there at 7:30 but it filled up later but, by then, it was just a little too noisy for me. i didn't pay so i can't comment on... More

This was our first time to this restaurant, so we were not sure what to expect. Would it live up to the high end prices they charge for their dishes? Indeed it did. The food was some of the best restaurant food we have had, and the service was efficient and friendly. The pricing was on the high side, but... More

We recently visited Two to Four as a group of 12 for the 50th birthday celebration of my wife. The service was first class and the food was excellent. The general ambience was great, with all our guests enjoying the evening. As there was 12 of us we were given the more private dining room on the top floor, this allowed us... More

Visited restaurant with a group to celebrate a friends birthday and as such we had private dining room on top floor. Setting excellent, owner and staff friendly without being intrusive, overall a really nice ambience. As were there for evening the service was paced accordingly. The menu is not huge but I would say has something to suit all tastes.... More

My wife and I ate here about a week ago. We found the food to be beautifully cooked and well presented. The Manager was friendly and helpful. Considering this was a Friday evening, we were a little surprised at the number of people dining. I would say that there were only 10 covers (8pm). The only comment was that the... More

We ate here on Saturday evening for my husband's birthday as we had heard good things. Firstly the manager/owner was overly familiar asking my husband in a jokey way how he had hurt his arm - very inappropriate behaviour as we had never met him before. Secondly when he opened the sparkling water for us he dropped the lid on... More

The starters were nice, but my partner thought the asparagus with poached egg was a bit salty. The bread was really nice, very good indeed. But the mains were a bit of a disappointment, my partners steak was chewy and my salmon was way too salty and not to my taste. Prices are expensive for the food. Probably won't visit... More

Having not been into Two to Four for some time, we took advantage of the special Facebook promotional menu and visited on Tuesday. I ordered the mackarel as a starter and breem for main whilst my husband plumped for the rabbit starter followed by the beef burger. I have to say that the mackarel starter was absolutely delicious, you could... More
