I'm almost loath to write anything as I don't want to not be able to get a booking here. That probably says it all!
We had a three course midweek lunch and everything we chose was at least very good (see caveat on cheese below). Whilst the lunch and a la carte menus appear distinct we were told that we could mix and match - in effect the lunch menu was additional options on the a la carte menu at £14 for all main... More
I went here for a family meal today. The setting was relaxed but classy with lovely little personal touches. The staff were attentive, helpful and friendly. The food was quite outstanding and I totally recommend you order a side order of battered courgette strips if you go! I had the £12 set lunch menu. Oriental pork pie with hoisin sauce... More
I visited this restaurant as part of a group and I was utterly disgusted by the service received! Everything was a chore to the staff and we were made to feel extreamly uncomfortable which made the whole experience a nightmare. There was sighing and eye rolling and when we asked to take off the service charge we were questioned about... More

I sent one of my good customers and his partner to this restaurant and they had a great time. So much so I'm coming to eat here soon, many thanks for a great table food and service and will send others to your restaurant with out question.
The Maitre D makes you feel very welcome and is always there to advise and assist. Nice quiet environment for chatting - no loud music or noise. Food choices unusual and adventurous and most enjoyable.

The freshness and localness of the food ingredients was amazing in the starter of chicken rilette, the main dish of roasted pork belly, and the chocolate parfait dessert. Punctual and polite service with greetings and goodbyes from the owner.
Went there tonight for a birthday meal. The welcome was warm and friendly. We chose from the a la carte menu - kedgeree starter for him and crispy spiced pork for me - lovely flavours and just the right size portions; we both had the fillet of beef as a main with crispy courgettes and local carrots as side orders....
