Visited the Anchor on a quiet midweek evening in October. The restaurant was not busy. The service was warm and attentive. The food served was excellent, although one of my guests had an element of their order not fulfilled. The Burger was served without the advertised coleslaw. Never the less the food served was of a standard to aspire to.... More

Popped in here with friends we were visitng who live in Kesgrave, it has the bar area of a traditional old pub but with a lot of people drinking and enjoying themselves. The atmosphere is very good and you can tell its prides itself on the traditional real ale feel of what a drinking pub should be like. I can't... More

What an unexpected surprise! We were there for dinner on Sunday eve and about 8ish musicians started arriving. Every second Sunday is open mike night. Great local talent which was an unexpected bonus! The staff and patrons were friendly and the food was tasty. All in all a great evening out in Woodbridge.

Called in for Sunday Lunch, they did not do it on a Sunday however. Had a pulled pork sandwich with chips and a ploughman's instead. Nice but small portions and over priced £10 for the sandwich which was about 5 inches long. £15 for 3 drinks pint Ghost Ship, small glass of red and a bottled Belgium Ale. Ghost Shop... More

I've never eaten here but I've heard good things about the food. I've been here for drinks many times and am always met by friendly staff, great outdoor seating, cosy indoor spaces and reasonable prices

An old fashioned pub with plenty of character and friendly if somewhat harried staff. The food ranged from average to good. Prices were very reasonable.

First time at the Anchor. We popped in for a meal and realised it was the monthly curry night. My partner ordered the Goan prawn curry and I had the beef curry, both with the side accompaniments. Both were excellent and better than any curry I've had for a while. Really impressed. Will be going back for a regular meal... More

With it being a cold day and holding on tightly to two big dogs, we sat outside for lunch. The weather closed in and the staff told us that we could bring the dogs into the front of the pub. Having checked with the other diners, who were all lovely, we settled into a corner table and enjoyed a lovely... More
