Fantastic pub lunch!

We visited for a late weekend lunch after visiting Sutton Hoo. There is a public (pay-and-display) car park across the street from the Anchor (next to the movie theatre). There was plenty of seating when we entered. The menu is written up on the wall to the left of the bar (you sort of need to... read more

Don't know if you can book a table, we sat in the bar as all tables were taken. The food was very good. My wife had the Salmon with filo pastry basket with mushrooms and vegetables and salad, and I had a Thai green chicken curry.

The anchor is nothing special inside and could do with a bit of a makeover, however, the food they serve is very special. My wife is a regular visitor with her mates so when we had the opportunity of a night out recently she demanded we go here. On arrival we were greeted in a friendly manner and shown to... More

Called in to book a table, the pub from the bar side looks well used, but comfortable. My wife had read the Telegraph and Trip Advisor reviews. We booked a table for Saturday night, when we arrived the pub was very busy with young and old alike. The landlady greeted us with a smile and showed us to our table.... More

Lovely old English pub. Popped in with a friend at lunchtime. The place was busy. Friendly staff. This place is usually heaving when I drive by on the way home during the summer.

Very flavoursome Goan chicken curry, followed by Thai tea pannacotta. Both very tasty! Service and beer excellent, as always!

A great traditional pub full of charm which serves great food. My boyfriend said he had the best chicken wings he's ever eaten! We were then pleasantly surprised to have turned up to an open mike night. We ended up staying until the pub closed! The local talent was brilliant and the atmosphere was buzzing. Great night out in Woodbridge!
