Try to eat in the bar where it's lighter . The bottom part of the pub is rather dark - difficult to see what you are eating. Hare dish was tough and stringy. Still the best skate in town!

Just had a wonderful meal with friends. The food was great quality, very well presented, locally sourced and tasted amazing. Very good. Great atmosphere too. Recommend the skate and chocolate brownie! We will come again. :-)

The staff here are very attentive but not instrusive. The food is locally sought and beautifully cooked and presented. The prices are very reasonable and they keep an excellent cellar .....Very nice wine too. You will need to book a table. My friends and I have had several meals here to celebrate birthdays, it really is our favourite place to... More

Friendly, quaint, pub/restaurant near the river and train station. Log fires in the winter always great menu but the authentic curry is the best in my opinion. $ tables in the bar, more tables in separate rooms - all very cosy. Fairly dark rooms but fine. Staff very efficient and friendly. Few tables outside the front and more in the... More

Chips were perfect - crisp withfluffy insides and not soaked in oil! Pork belly and chorizo starter was spot on and prawn satay had a lovely crunchy homemade satay, my main of salmon... More
