With it being a cold day and holding on tightly to two big dogs, we sat outside for lunch. The weather closed in and the staff told us that we could bring the dogs into the front of the pub. Having checked with the other diners, who were all lovely, we settled into a corner table and enjoyed a lovely... More

Thought we'd try this place as it had good reviews on Tripadvisor and the menu looked good. Place was pretty much packed when we arrived, which wasn't too late and a week day, so we knew it must be OK. We weren't disappointed. I had half lobster (yum!) which was a decent size. Shame they were out of whole lobster... More

Fantastic welcoming pub with a good bunch of friendly locals. Food is top notch, have had the black pepper chicken wings and steak several times the last few weeks, the chicken wings are awesome, loads of black pepper! V.good steak, will be eating here again very soon!

Full of charm with excellent service, have eaten twice recently and selected from an extensive blackboard menu. The quality and presentation was excellent.

Just off the main drag opposite the station, this pub doesn’t look much from the outside. Characterful bar with standard Greene King beers plus one guest. There is a lovely dining room at the back and a patio to dine in as well if the weather is suitable (best to book). The food is not cheap but absolutely excellent; there... More

Good pub food, mostly meat but with fish and vegetarian options. It is a traditional pub with mostly locals, some yachtie types and tourists. A very dog friendly pub with welcoming staff and a warm atmosphere. There is live music some some nights.

The food here is great, last night I ate lamb rump which was perfectly cooked and lovely. The service is a bit slap dash and unattentive, hence the rating. I know this place is a pub but it charges restaurant prices; my lamb was £17, so they really should do better. We arrived to be told that we could only... More

Been many times. Best place to eat in Woodbridge. Let down a little by very primitive toilets, limited, unvarying menu, no mint or choc with the coffee. Best sausage and mash ever and good puddings. Not cheap

Have been eating at the Anchor for Years and generally it is very good, however last night having been out of the country for 3 x months, 9 x of us went there for Dinner, the place was so over crowded that getting a drink took absolutely ages, the food was O.K. but the service was dreadful, glasses dumped at... First time here but we were very pleased with the menu & the steaks were brilliant - very basic pub - no frills but if you want good food this is the place.
