Had a lovely meal with family and friends. The staff are excellent and very friendly. Beef & Bacon Cobbler x3, Chicken Croquettes and Sausage & Mash. Amazing food as usual and top deserts. Would recommend this to anyone :-)

I've eaten in the Marquis of Granby many times and quite simple have never had less than a fantastic meal and great service. Don't expect a traditional country pub-restaurant since it's a small village pub and badly in need of refurbishment; something that's in the pipeline...... But for good ale and terrific food, it's one of my favourites.

Called in for lunch here a couple of weeks ago. A beer shandy went down very well. Had a look at the menu and didn't want a main course so chose from the light bites, but checked first that they were larger than a 'starter' portion. I was assured they were. I ordered a Cheese Ploughman's. Well, what a Cheese... More

I visit this pub most days. The service is exceptional and the price of drinks are very reasonable. I class this pub as my local as the staff look after me. I would have no hesitation in recommending anyone to go to this pub and sample the local food and drink

Wonderful Sunday lunch, glad we didn't have a starter as the meal was so filling and a complete joy, which we had to ask to bring the remainder home for the dog. Lovely service and great food. Will definateley be going back. Local people were so friendly, and pub dog friendly.

Went here yesterday for Sunday Lunch following recommendation from a friend (who joined us !) was not disappointed, the quality, amount and presentation of the food was absolutely lovely. Unfortunately the attitude of the front of house girl left a lot to be desired but on the whole a very pleasant afternoon and I will definitely be back.

We visited today for lunch, we had never been before but will defiantly be going again, excellent food at a very reasonable price, I would be cheating them if I gave anything less than 10/10, if you haven't tried it I highly recommend you do.

Great little village pub (my local!) Sunday lunches are phenomenal - great choice and plenty of it too (a little too much I'd say!). Family friendly & also has sweet little beer garden.

Stopped in for lunch after hearing great reviews from friends, they were right. I had a smoked salmon sandwich with cucumber relish and it was delicious! Came with lovely tasty (huge) side salad and chunky homemade chips. Excellent value for money lunch plus 2 drinks less than £10 and the service was excellent with everyone making me feel welcome, papers... More

Had been told by friends that the new owners formally owned and created the success that was The Golden Boar Inn, in Freckenham. When they left in 2007, we were left in need of somewhere decent to eat. When we found out they were back in business we had to get over for one of their outstanding Sunday lunches!! The... More
