Some retired colleagues and a few still at the grindstone met here for dinner. There were 10 of us in total and we all chose different dishes at each course. The service is good and the food was superb and the choice of vegetables is quite awesome! We all had a really wonderful evening and every one vowed not to wait another... More

Good food and nice servants. Only the man behind the bar seems a bit grumpy. But we will come back. Good country style atmosphere. The bar menu is very good value and big portions!

Not sure I agree with all the rave reviews about this pub. I certainly wouldn't put it as high up the list of best restaurants in the Newmarket area and therefore question the trip advisor rating system. It was like going back in time to the 80's...beams, bric-a-brac and prawn cocktaill! The Sunday lunch menu was limited to typical Sunday... More

Great food served by lovely staff. Our guests enjoyed the novel decor and selection of vegetables normal for Sunday Lunch. The chocolate pud was a sheer delight beautifully presented. Coffee a tad too strong if I am being picky. I think they should try offering their successful tips to other pubs.

First time visiting so not quite sure what to expect but were definitely not disappointed. 16 veg with a choice of meat as well as a starter and sweet followed by coffee, all served by lots of attentive staff. Thanks for the tray for dog's water too. We will... More

We have dined here several times, both Saturday evening and Sunday lunchtimes - every time the food is fantastic, as are the hosts and waitresses, always ready for a laugh! Not kidding about the 16 veg and they are absolutely delicious, I always try to have a tiny bit of everything! I think ELVIS must have been at a different... More

My partner had Chicken Supreme and I had Steak and Kidney pie. The meals came with new potatoes and fresh from the garden veg, all delicious. The house merlot was reasonably priced and for dessert my partner had a scoop of chocolate ice cream and I had Banana Bumble - out of this world!! With coffee the bill came to... More
